Villa Playa Girón

El hotel es cómodo y espacioso. Tiene piscina , grande... divertida para ir en familia.Buenas ofertas de comida. Las habitaciones cómodas. Las ofertas de recreación sin amenas, cada noche algo diferente. No queda cerca de la ciudad. Llevar para protegerse de insectos. Se puede visitar el museo de la acción a playa Giron.

I stumbled upon this hotel during my cycling tour of Cuba and loved it so much that I extended my stay from 1 to four nights. Yes, it's kind of strange and gritty in so many ways but an incredible bargain at 5000 pesos per night. I was given a beachfront cabin that was newly renovated and included: A private patio, living room, kitchen, private washroom, king size bed, 2 TV's, 2 Air conditioners, proper doors and windows and a free breakfast. The beach is very nice and has a breakwall so that it's swimmable even on windy days. There is a 24 hour lobby bar. The pool looked a bit murky but I never went in. The grounds are well kept. I estimate that the resort was built to accommodate 200-300 guests but when I was there I saw maybe 20 guests and 40 staff. The property is huge from end to end about 1.5km so strangely barren but if you want some peace and quiet this is the perfect spot. Right next door is Playa Coco which is a nicer swim beach and slightly more populated as there are 5-6 little kiosks selling food and drinks. Very charming indeed. The actual town is about 700 meters from the resort which was weird but I had my bike so no issue for me. Would be challenging without a car or bike but they do rent bicycles at the resort. I have no idea why it was so empty which made it feel strange but sooooo peaceful. I took a run up to playa larga and looked at the hotel and casa options there and decided instead to stay at Giron. Punta Perdiz is 11km up the road and although touristy does offer spectacular swimming and snorkeling. I think I'll come back again but maybe for a week or more. For $230 per week it's cheaper than living in Canada.

Debo destacar que mi experiencia en este hotel fue superior a las expectativas que tenía debido a los comentarios que leí antes de ir. Fui como estudiante del reciente evento EIET realizado en estos días y debo felicitar al equipo de trabajo del hotel por brindarnos un servicio de calidad. Los servicios gastronómicos estaban exquisitos, las habitaciones bien limpias,climatizadas y de buen confort. Su oferta de animación fue brillante. En resumen recomiendo la entidad a futuros clientes que estén pensando en disfrutar en este hotel de verdad me gustó mucho mucho.
