The resort is very chill and has all the amenities one needs. On that note, the spa where the infinity pool was out of commission as well as the top river feature adjacent. The views are fantastic, but know that sunset is more north and sets over the hillside and not the ocean view. Breakfast was great, drinks were as expected. The bed did not have a topper on it and was hard as a rock, I went to the front desk and was given a different room 3 days later. The best thing about staying here is the location in between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. From my experience, foreign tourists on the weekend, a local vibe during the week.

This dated hotel was supposed to be a top notch. My had to wait 2 hours early in the morning in order to get water on the shower, we were on the 4th floor, but that should not be an excuse. We had an important appointment to attend and this gave my wife unnecessary stress. The included breakfast at the restaurant was decent, it does not include drinks, thiugh. You need to pay for your coffee.

If you are like me and want to try something new and different, then Las Rocas Resort & Spa is for you! The resort is quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. It is on the cliffs, and every room overlooks the ocean. The food, spa, and staff are excellent, and my wife and I will be returning.

1: The online registration led me to believe my only choices for the basic, one-night hotel stay I needed were spa packages with a bunch of extras I wouldn't be able to use. I paid $160 for my single night stay...which is more than the highest priced rooms at the VERY nice Hyatt Place in Tijuana, for example. 2. The woman who checked me in upon arrival was about as unhelpful and unresponsive as someone in a customer service job could be. Never smiled, didn't even TRY to help me hear her better, though I told her at least four times that I could not hear her through the plexiglass shield and with all the background noise. I walked away with expectations of accommodations to shift the value of one benefit to another. 3. The new "value" coupon turned out NOT to be an open-ended restaurant credit, as I had understood, but was specifically for 2 margueritas. I don't drink alcohol. At all....and yet ANOTHER marguerita was in my package of "benefits" so I could have gotten smashed on three, if so inclined! 4. Then... the room was honestly mediocre -- about as clean and well maintained as I'd expect from a Motel 6 in a small backwater town in rural U.S. Poor quality linens, years-old stains on the bottoms of one wall and the curtains. No chair at the desk and no batteries in the TV remote. My favorite part was that whoever cleaned the room left the slider door unlocked. I didn't check it because OF COURSE it is locked as I arrive, right?? So, off I go to dinner leaving my backpack--holding my laptop--on the foot of the bed, in full view of the pool/garden area...and the door was unlocked the whole time. Feeling very blessed indeed that it was still there when I returned, decided to check out "my yard," and found the slider unlocked. 5. In general, except for the gardens, the entire property seemed poorly maintained and had few truly helpful accommodations for those with limited mobility...tiny ramps to avoid stairs were old, made of decaying wood that sags under any weight 6. EXCEPT FOR THE MEAL I ATE for dinner, which was outstanding, and the view from my room, I was disappointed at every turn, from arrival to departure. Basically, my experience was a very BASIC level of accommodation and service that required a LUXURY level of payment. No bueno! For this trip, Las Rocas was the only local hotel where I could find a room for this particular night. In future, I will work MUCH harder to find another alternative. I never want to stay there again.
