SG Hotel Johor Bahru

Recently stayed at this hotel due to the reviews saying it was a quick and comfortable getaway if you need a room for the night. Check-in was smooth and first impressions of the reception and the staff was good. However when we entered into our 2nd floor room, we were greeted by a sub-par cleaned room. For instance the toilet bowl had remnants and stains in the bowl and on the seat. As we were too tired to request a change of room after reaching near midnight, we had to clean it ourselves to make it comfortable. In addition, the area where the kettle was sticky and after wiping it down we were appalled by the amount of dirt picked up by our wet wipes. The pillow covers looked overused and had some staining. The aircon remote also was out of batteries and we had to switch from the tv remote. Thankfully the bed was comfortable and we did have a good night sleep. Overall maybe the housekeeping was not on their “A” game and hope they can maintain all rooms to a basic standard of cleanliness.

Clean, but room is quite basic Checkin is fast and no hassle with slightly early check-in time. Checkout also smooth and fast

A simple but clean.hotel. comfortable. Bathroom clean. Quiet. Basic but enough if you only spend the time inside to rest/sleep. There's enough shops nearby to settle you for meals and basic needs. Been.back 3 times before.

Basic hotel with warmed reception. Many eateries nearby and morning market is just across the street.
