Hop in your rowboat from the pier or put in your fishing boat at the Sayner boat ramp just minutes away to spend the day trying to catch the elusive muskellunge. End each evening with your fresh catch on the grill with one of the best sunset views in the area. Or sit around the fire pit just outside your cabin and listen to the soothing sounds of the Northwoods lulling you to sleep. Northwoods cabin is well suited for a small family or a couple looking to enjoy a weekend away; the well-appointed kitchen and living space are great for a game of cribbage or Yahtzee, and the front porch has a beautiful view for gazing at the stars. Visitors have access to the lake from two public boat landings. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Star Lake is a 1,219 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 68 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from at least two boat landings. RUSTIC FAWN CABIN AT WHITE BIRCH LAKE - (formerly known as Timberwolf) Nestled among towering pines, Rustic Fawn Cabin is an inviting 3-bedroom, 1 bathroom family cabin that offers a serene escape in a private wooded setting. The interior features a cozy living area with a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for gathering on chilly evenings. A spacious deck extends from the cabin, providing an ideal spot for enjoying the natural surroundings and fresh air. Dogs are OK with a pet fee. KITCHEN / DINING: The kitchen has a fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, regular drip coffee maker with keurig, crockpot, blender, hand mixer and ice maker. Everything you need for memorable family meals! Eat at the dining table, kitchen bar, or outside dining table and chairs. Just select the pet option and leave a note when making your reservation if you will bring 1 or 2 dogs so we can adjust the pet fee, if needed. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Please utilize a crate if leaving your dog unattended. You will be responsible for all pet clean-up or damage. LAKE: The cabin is nestled in the Northern Highland State Forest with access to both White Birch Lake and Ballard Lake. This chain of lakes offers a gorgeous lake setting for nature lovers and sport fishermen alike. White Birch Lake is a 113-acre lake with a depth of 27 feet. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Walleye. The lake's water clarity is very clear. Ballard Lake is a 503-acre lake with a depth of 25 feet. The lake's water is moderately clear. Visitors have access to both lakes from a public boat landing with a boat slip near the cabin. PLEASE NOTE: the cabin is not directly on the lake. It is a 5 minute walk to the lake and corresponding boat slip. The boat landing is accessed on Ballard Lake. Guests bringing a boat will launch there and then navigate from Ballard, through the channel, and over to White Birch Lake. TRAILS: ATV/UTV riders can cover a variety of terrain in the area, from paved roads to dirt routes. Enjoy hiking in the nearby Nicolet National Forest or biking on the WinMan Trails. Check out the "Map It Vilas County Trails App" to navigate all the trail systems for any sport - snowmobiling, ATVing, cross-country skiing, biking, and hiking. AREA: The cabin is located 10 min to Boulder Junction, 15 min to Sayner, and 30 min to St. Germain, Minocqua, Manitowish Waters, and Eagle River. The cabin is amongst the White Birch Village Resort, but it does NOT have access to the resort amenities.
