Mountain View Eco Farm

The most wonderful experience I had in Nepal. Govinda and his family were very welcoming and the room had everything you would need. The farm is located in a beautiful space and you have a wonderful view of the mountains when the weather is clear. There is not much to do in the area besides swim in the lake but this makes it is the best place to come to rest. But above all, the food was the absolute best! All prepared with ingredient build on their farm. I was allowed to help Chetana in the kitchen and learn from her which was a very special experience for me. I would highly recommend staying here for a week during your stay in Nepal!

I read about this place and it instantly resonated. I saw that it is a farm to learn about farming, cooking and sustainable living and that's all totally my vibe. But when I arrived to the peace of the hillside, the beauty of the mountains and lakes, the nourishment of the organic meals, and the kindness and care of the family ... well, I just sank into this haven. My entire being was engulfed in the nurturing and rest it so needed and after almost a week, I feel restored to my usual self and ready to embark on another trek. I highly recommend this farm homestay to anyone wanting respite from their consumer lifestyles to come learn and heal and whole again.

I was at MVEF for six weeks and I enjoyed my stay here a lot. It was a great experience and I was really happy. So, if you are looking for a true immersion in Nepalese life and cultural MVEF is the best place for that. Govinda and Chetana are best hosts, they are very kind, helpful, welcoming and friendly, and Siddhartha, their 9 years-old son, is a nice joyful lovely kid. They make you feel as part of their family, they are great. Their farm is located near Pokhara on top of a hill with amaizing views over Begnas Lake and the Annapurna range.They produce their own food in a sustainable way because they believe that food is health so, beeing here you will have the opportunity of learning first-hand with Govinda everything about organic and sustainable farming, ecology, medicinal plantas, healthy food, renewable energy... Beside, Chetana is a great cook and you will learn with her all about healthy dishes and Nepalese cuisine. You will enjoy a lot her meals.
