Premier Inn Eastbourne (Polegate)

This is a reasonably priced hotel in an uninspiring location, with good parking, quiet and reasonable rooms and decent food (dinner and breakfast deal was good value and breakfast in particular was good). Staff were friendly and helpful. On the negative side, the standard wifi is very slow, the rooms could be described as basic (no tissues, limited storage, seating, no telephone to reception). Most annoyingly the hotel is hidden away in a dip in Polegate Services. The image on the website gives the impression that it will be easily identified but on arriving at the satnav location it cannot be seen. Some better directions would be appreciated

We have stayed here before as its an ideal central location for visiting the coastal area. In fairness the hotel is undergoing refurbishment and the general ambience is of a building site outside The room itself was up to the usual standard. Clean, comfortable with a nice powerful shower and bath. Wifi was hit and miss but ok for casual use. Parking was free once you logged on. The restaurant was also a work in progress. Scruffy carpet, very few for dinner and annoying music. Very limited menu but in fairness the food was ok, usual chain fare. Breakfast was a little livelier and again no complaints about the standard of the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall if you just want a decent room for the night it's ok. Hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Again in respect of the restaurant wait until the refurbishment is over.

This is a very basic Premier Inn. We have stayed once before and it was ok, but this time, the bathroom was filthy with thick dust, dirt and hairs on the floor in the corners. It clearly hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in some time. Hand wash dispenser was also rusty. The room was also very cold on arrival, though the Reception team were great and brought us a heater within a couple of minutes. Can't fault the staff we met, but poor cleanliness is extremely off-putting.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff really clean and ideal location, bed really comfy room really clean the kind lady on reception gave me directions to the nearest local town and some really nice eating places just down the road also a McDonald’s near by

Very, very tired hotel. Bedroom and corridors had stained carpets. Thick cobwebs around bedroom door. Room wasn’t particularly clean. Bed comfortable. The pub next door which provides food seemed deserted. Waited 10 minutes at bar before any staff appeared. We decided not to eat there! Beer pumps were for decoration as apparently not connected so no beer! Wouldn’t go back

Hotel is like 9 out of 10 premier inns, Decent. But going into the restaurant was a diabolical experience, bloody depressing, half the lights are off, bare tables, heart fm radio on in the background , all tv’s off, no draught beers as they’re not working, have to pay extra for bottled beers, 1 person serving whilst 16ish people waiting to order , the menu was changed from last time I was here and it’s 10% the size , a member of staff eating McDonalds at the end of the bar. It was f’in DEPRESSING. Do not get the meal deal. Pop to McDonald’s across the road. It’s pretty depressing in the restaurant and it’s a shame . Understaffed . Driove to town centre premier inn so I could order a mixed grill, enjoyed the food there , but one thing premier in are experts at is watching the pennies , one woman serving and welcoming people , doing drinks. It’s turning into travelodge .
