Good value in a great location
We booked this last minute after worrying about not getting back to Sorrento following a concert attending at the amphitheatre, which was just a short walk away — a big plus in the heat. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be given an upgrade, and the manager also offered complimentary breakfasts for both of us, which was a thoughtful touch.
The room was comfortable and overlooked the main square in front of the cathedral, giving us a real sense of place. The air conditioning was very welcome, especially with temperatures hitting the 30s, and we managed a decent night’s sleep.
The location is excellent — close to restaurants, bars, and, of course, the Pompeii Ruins. Breakfast was ok, although a toastie grill might help speed things up a bit in the morning rush. The staff were friendly and the coffee hit the spot.
For the price we paid, in the location this was, and for the convenience, this was good value 😊

Great staff awful experience
Staff was super nice and tried to be helpful but our room was small, floor was dirty, beds squeaky and there was no cold water. We couldn’t shower because the water was scalding. I finally washed my hair in the tiny sink. The outlet in the bathroom was sticking out of the wall and the cover for plumbing was off as well so they must have known there was a plumbing issue

Esperienza pessima, abbiamo trascorso 24 ore con acqua fredda. Stanze poco funzionali con porte che neanche si chiudevano, esperienza da dimenticare. Nonostante il direttore cercava di mettersi a disposizione, cambiava poco. Inoltre con la scolaresca abbiamo richiesto il pranzo a sacco e abbiamo trovato porzioni miserevoli con frutta impossibile da consumare per strada come mele e arance; ho chiesto di farci avere delle banane, essendo più pratiche da consumare, ma tutto inutile

Hotel Santuario Pompei was wonderful. Centrally located, and very charming. The staff and reception were incredible and deeply hospitable, it almost felt like I was in a family home. I would recommend staying here!
