A Truly Disappointing Experience – Multiple Room Moves, Hygiene Issues, and No Real Resolution I stayed at this Premier Inn from April 11th to 13th, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I originally booked Room 166, but shortly after checking in, I discovered the shower was spraying water all over the bathroom and neither the shower nor the sink could maintain a constant temperature – alternating between scalding hot and freezing cold. I reported the issue on the morning of April 12th and was told it would be fixed by evening. When we returned that evening, nothing had been done, and the issue persisted. My husband went back to reception, and we were moved to Room 141. That room brought a new issue – a bug was found on the bed. Once again, we had to go to reception, and we were moved a second time, this time to Room 204. While Room 204 was tolerable in comparison, it still had its problems: • One of the pillows, sealed in plastic for “freshness,” was mouldy • The bathroom extractor fan didn’t work • The bath drained poorly, leaving water pooling after each use Having to move three times in a two-night stay, coupled with ongoing hygiene and maintenance issues, caused significant disruption and discomfort. I contacted Premier Inn directly afterward, hoping for a reasonable resolution, but the response I received showed no real concern or accountability. It’s incredibly disappointing to experience this level of neglect and then be met with such indifference from customer service. I expected better from a well-known hotel chain. If you're considering staying here, I would strongly recommend thinking twice. Considering this cost me £190, so much for a 'Good Nights Sleep Guarantee'
