The White House Port Douglas

Family break in PD Wonderful apartment in a great quiet location with everything we needed for our short family break in PD. Big thanks to Tony and Helen for everything and their help and advice for trips and restaurants. Pool was lovely and refreshing. 😊

Went to Australia for three weeks and the White House was the best place we stayed! Helen and Tony are the best hosts, they went above and beyond, they even helped my friend get her lost passport back from our previous accommodation 100s of miles from Port Douglas! The apartment was beautiful and well equipped! One word sums up the accommodation…..PERFECT!!

Ideal Location An ideal location for Port Douglas centre. Manager, Tony was very helpful and easy communication. Our apartment was on the ground floor next to the pool and consequently was noisy at times. The apartment was comfortable with all the necessary facilities for our stay. A couple of minor issues though, the WiFi was not the best, unusable at times and the satellite TV lost the signal frequently. Understandable given the location but none the less frustrating, as our time in PD was the only occasion on our extended trip round Oz that I wanted to watch sport on the TV. Overall though if you are looking for an ideally located and comfortable apartment in PD then the White House is perfect.

Perfect place for a stay in Port Douglas. Quiet location that is very close to the beach and the main street. My family had two apartments next to each other which was super handy. Both were modern, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool is great and surrounded by beautiful gardens that can also be enjoyed from the balconies.

We stayed at the White House for 4 weeks over July/August. We have stayed at a number of accommodations in Port Douglas over the last few years and this is our favourite and the one we will return to. I like the smaller size being only 10 apartments. The position is perfect being close to the beach, main Street and restaurants. It is quiet, opposite a park and surrounded by trees - the bird sounds were beautiful! The apartments are private, very well appointed with everything you need and everything works. Little things like good lighting made a difference. The pool and barbecue area are lovely and user friendly. Tony keeps the surrounding garden immaculately. Tony & Helen are excellent hosts, friendly and helpful but not instructive. We look forward to our stay next year.

This is about our 10th visit to the White House Port Douglas. As usual everything went like clockwork The white House is 5 minutes walk from Macrossan Street, the main dining and shopping area, less than 5 minutes from 4 mile beach. The staff are wonderful, very caring, in fact the manager sent me a message on our arrival to Cairns, to say the main road from Cairns to Port Douglas was blocked by an accident, and maybe to find an alternative route, I call that service. The premises are always clean, staff friendly, what else can you need for a holiday in paradise.......
