Our group of eight was treated very poorly. The waitress actually rolled her eyes repeatedly at members of our party. They clearly do not like Americans. Food was decent but service was extremely disappointing. We were mostly ignored for 2 1/4 hours. It was an unfortunate ending to our otherwise great day of travel. Recommend you find somewhere else to patronize.

The service here was delightful- a cute cozy little waterfront hotel with a convenient restaurant overlooking the harbor. We were welcomed very pleasantly, and they were happy to accommodate us with a special request for our teenagers, which made our stay even more enjoyable. This is an excellent spot for visiting the D Day landings, right between the historic beaches. The town is absolutely charming as well, with adorable boutiques, bakeries, and restaurants.

We went to the hotel restaurant as part of a Norwegian Normandy land excursion. They decided to serve pâté which tasted like canned cat food, and followed this up with obviously boiled chicken and mashed potatoes. I had better food from the buffet on the cruise ship. Pretty despicable they would serve this considering we could see the fresh fish market from our table across the street. Would not recommend this place to my pets. Plus only had 2 servers on for 2 tour groups totaling over 100 people, we were on a time crunch and had to get up to walk around before finishing our meal. Pretty sad experience

This is a well located comfortable hotel for anyone visiting D-Day sites. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is excellent (the fish market is just across the road) - we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner on a number of days. The overall quality of service was excellent. A recent refurbishment has modernised the hotel bedrooms however it does not have a lift so access to the bedrooms is by stairs. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable however not all have a sea view. The free wifi is also very good.

This review is actually for the restuarant inside this hotel. We stopped there as part of an Oceania excursion of the Normandy Invsion beaches. There were 3 Oceania groups of about 38 people each, yet the small restuarant was able to handle all the groups on two floots. Our meal was fantastic as was the red wine and chardony they served along with great bread. Everone's meal consisted of some type of meat loaf which tasted like liver and salad, turkey and potatoes in white sauce, and then a gret apple pie with ice cream. It was fantastic.

24/05/2025 Un ami qui venait nous voir à BAYEUX nous avait chargé de sélectionner un restaurant convenant à tous. Après avoir écumé la région, notre choix s'est porté sur l'hôtel-restaurant LA MARINE à PORT EN BESSIN, et bien nous en a pris. Donc, le midi nous nous y sommes rendus et avons choisi nos menus. Notre ami et ma femme ont choisi le plateau de fruits de mer à 42€, bien garni en produits de la mer. Ensuite ma femme a pris une tarte tatin "revisitée" et notre ami "3 cafés gourmands". Pour ma part j'ai pris le menu à 49€, avec foie gras en entrée, copieusement servi et délicieux avec sa compotée de figues, ensuite la Marmite du Pêcheur, bien garnie aussi et très bonne, suivie par une tarte au citron "revisitée" au yuzu, de bon aloi. Le tout arrosé d'une bouteille d'un parfait Château de Sancerre et d'une bouteille d'eau San Pellegrino Repas somptueux, agrémenté d'un apéritif maison sans alcool pour ma femme et moi et d'un whisky Jameson pour notre ami. Service rapide et attentionné. Vue imprenable sur les jetées du Port en prime. Toilettes "normales" et "handicapés" séparées et impeccables. Vraiment à recommander si vous passez dans notre région. Je joins quelques photos en prime.

Menu à 38 €, un peu décevant pour la terrine de poisson très sèche. Personnel sympathique, mais nous étions 3, et on nous a laissé une 4e assiette jusqu au milieu du repas et on nous a laissé une assiette avec de la mayonnaise (entrée( jusqu au dessert. Une des matelote est arrivée tiède, donc pas top....

Voulant réserver pour ma famille la nuit du 31/12, j'ai appeler pour avoir quelques information. J'ai eus une dame au téléphone difficile a tout comprendre (peut être a cause des intempéries... ou manque d'articulations des mots...) Dès que j'ai prononcé la nuit du 31, elle m'a répondu sèchement que ça sera surement fermer et comme c'est en fin de saison pour eux qu'ils pourraient quand même profiter de cette soirée et ne pas ouvrir a la clientèle en rejoutant rapidement désolé pour vous.... Je trouve ça très limite, si cette dame ne veux pas prendre de réservations soit qu'elle change de métier ou qu'elle prenne des vacances a cette période. Bon courage pour ses collègue et je leurs souhaites quand même de bonne fête de fin d'année
