As always a wonderful Hotel and holiday , The staff are always happy and helpful, the bedrooms and hotel perfect. A special thanks to Carlos on the beach and Lennie at the water sports . Will definitely return And thankyou to the O’Hara’s for welcoming my mother and family back again .

Coral reef is a fantastic hotel. The staff are incredible and attentive, the grounds are stunning and the food and drinks were all delicious. We loved every minute of our honeymoon. I’d read reviews that the hotel seems tired and it was mainly older couples. We found this wasn’t the case. Having stayed at other hotels in Barbados, this is by far the best and most the guests were families with teenagers. There was a nice range of guests. The beach is lovely but get there early to get the best spot (I think this is the case with all Barbados hotels). There’s also a cocktail party on Monday evenings which was lovely! Thanks to the whole team for a wonderful stay!

We’ve stayed at Coral Reef many times before, usually for 9 or 10 nights, but this time we stayed for 2 weeks and are so pleased we did so. We think that the hotel (which was always lovely) is even better than before. I think this is entirely due to the staff who seem more friendly and happier. The whole team were amazing but I think we need to “shout out” Sheldon who looked after us on the beach each day with a smile and fantastic service. The hotel is beautifully maintained - the rooms, public areas, gardens, and the swimming pool. In our opinion it is the best hotel on the West Coast- better than Sandy Lane. You can tell that it is family owned and managed - it’s obvious from the attention to detail and the care that is taken in maintaining the property to such a high standard. By contrast (and whilst we didn’t stay there we did dine there), Sandy Lane feels impersonal and “corporate”. Thank you Coral Reef for a fabulous stay.

Lovely family holiday with teenagers after A'levels. We had 2 upper level garden cottage rooms with interconnecting balconies. It was perfect for a family as we had a double and a twin room. Great sized rooms and lovely decor. Comfy beds. Good but slighty noisy air con but very necessary in June. Great wifi. The food was fantastic. We had only booked a B&B rate originally thinking we would have dinner locally most nights but after the first dinner at the hotel on arrival and then a lunch the following day we realised it was easier and more cost effective to upgrade to half board with the hotel. The food and drinks are expensive. There also weren't many nice looking local restaurants I wanted to try. Lots of fine dining restaurants in Barbados which I'm not interested. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from a very good but expensive supermarket called Massey's. Great for loading up with crisps etc for the room and more suncream. There is a taxi rank nearby if you buy heavy things. It's a very hot walk in the summer. The hotel can book taxis for you to go anywhere. The staff at Coral Reef are great. One of the owners walks around a lot chatting to the guests and making himself visible which is nice to see. The watersports team are great. We booked a few things through them and it's very affordable for motorised watersports compared to most places. You need to pay cash for jet skis as that's an independent guy called Tony who bases himself at the watersports hut. It was US$75 for 30 minutes which is still a lot cheaper than most places. Waterskiing or a speedboat trip to see turtles was about £20 or so for 30 minutes. Those trips can be put on your hotel bill. The beach is quite receding and very rocky in most places getting into the sea. You need to tread carefully. Further down towards the watersports shack is a nicer entry point with less rocks. The sea is gorgeous. A wonderful temperature and colour. Some of the sun loungers are looking a bit tired. The hotel is beautifully decorated. Average age is definitely retirees but that could just have been the time of year. There was also a large family group of all ages with little children as it's a great family place too. Beautiful pool which I only used once but very nice. All in all, a great holiday.

Stunning Caribbean hotel. Rooms were spacious and spotless, relaxed Caribbean vibes with large terrace overlooking the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. We opted for B&B . Great breakfast buffet of hot and cold foods. Beach was gorgeous with good snorkelling.
