Fantastic house in amazing location. We needed to switch off for 3 days and this was the perfect spot. Feeling fragile on arrival the cream tea, the views, the superb room, and the hospitality of Mark and Howard helped us to have a relaxing adventure. We found nearby pubs and restaurants, incredible views and our hosts were a wealth of knowledge about the area. We can’t wait to go back. Thankyou.

Wow, wow, wow. After months of hospital appointments, procedures and major surgery we felt we needed a couple of days away before my chemotherapy started the week before Christmas. We were welcomed so warmly into this amazing house that has been so tastefully restored incorporating the fascinating history of the house and its former owners. The four poster bed was beyond comfortable and everything in the room oozed luxury. It really was the tonic we needed. The breakfast choices were perfect and adjusted for personal choice. I cannot recommend this property enough and we are looking at dates when we can return in the near future. Without sounding like a cliche, we arrived as strangers but left as friends.

The ambience was great. We only met Mark, perhaps Howard was doing the cooking, he was very welcoming.and interesting to talk with.
The house feels treasured and it was a pleasure to spend a night being part of that.

Great weekend
Had an amazing time. Mark was very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
The room was spotless clean, could not have been better, fresh towels every day. The room had all the facilities required, a massive nod to the local products, shampoo, hand washes and locally sauced water etc.
The views were spectacular, both from the room and the breakfast room.
Breakfast was great, fresh fruit and full English amongst other options.
We will definitely stay again, and totally recommend it to everyone.
