Had a lovely 4 night stay here. Miguel was welcoming and very helpful. Great spot if you have a car. A steady 20 minute walk to the Douro River but very pleasant. The units are clean and modern and unique in design. The only comment on Unit 8 is that it had a mezzanine bedroom and if you don’t like steep steps and are tall would ask for one of their others. Great outdoor area and superb wifi.

Increíble rincón de Oporto donde disfrutarás de paz y tranquilidad en un ambiente acogedor. Apartamento con todo lo necesario para una agradable estancia a un precio asequible. El servicio inmejorable por parte de los responsables. Volvería a elegirlo si vuelvo.

Passamos 30 dias em Portugal, visitando diversas cidades. A melhor recepção que tivemos foi pelo Miguel, dono da Ruby Charm Houses. Tratou-nos como se fôssemos velhos amigos. Atencioso, sempre disponível e prestativo. As instalações são todas modernas, apesar da rua ser antiga e aparentar velharia. Quando voltarmos ao Porto, ficaremos lá hospedados.

Épatant Si vous voulez vous gâter et vous faire gâter (fiole de Porto, biscuits fins, pain et fruits frais) c'est l'endroit parfait. Près de deux stations de métro. Pas d'escaliers à monter. Dans un jardin.

Green peaceful Oasis in the heart of Porto! Perfect service, very kind and attentive hosts with an eye for detail. They know very well what the guests may need and they do it in advance on very friendly terms. Individual wishes are respected.

Siamo state tre notti e il personale è molto gentile, e disponibile e la casa molto pulita . Nonostante la prima impressione fuori dal cancello c’è una totale sorpresa all’interno con la massima attenzione nei dettagli.la metro e’ vicina.

I stayed at Ruby Charm Houses for 6 weeks and it was the best experience ever. The location was perfect, very close to two metro stations. Miguel was the ideal host, friendly, always there, provided me with recommendations, and made me feel like home from the very first moment I arrived. The house was perfectly equipped, sparkling clean (also cleaned once a week) and had everything one would need. I wish I could have stayed even longer, and hope to be able to return in the future. Definitely recommend to anyone coming to Porto!

This collection of completely renovated & re-imagined former workers' cottages, arranged motel-like along one side of the property and facing onto a walled courtyard shaded by trees and a pergola, is a magical little refuge in the heart of Porto and we felt extremely lucky to have stumbled upon it. The rooms are small but very logically laid out and perfectly modernized using only eco-friendly materials. In the courtyard, tables & chairs are available to dine & drink al fresco beneath umbrellas or the trees. The property’s location between two metro stops can't be beat for convenience. There are good restaurants (RITO, PAJU!) very close by, along with parks, shops and markets. But really Ruby Charm’s best ‘amenity’ is the outstanding spirit of hospitality that the owner Miguel and his wife display, which is genuine & generous beyond all expectations. We were greeted personally by Miguel as our Uber pulled up to Ruby Charm’s gate. Our room was spotlessly prepared and kitted out with coffee, fruit, bread, preserves and Port (!) on arrival -- we felt wonderfully warmed and welcomed after a long journey north from Lisbon. Over the course of our five days at Ruby Charm we had several opportunities to chat with Miguel and he shared insights and anecdotes about his city and life in the north of Portugal — he is a wonderful soul and we felt like we were catching up with an old friend. Our fingers are crossed that life will lead us back to Ruby Charm at some point in the not too distant future!
