Marcus Hotel Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at The Marcus Hotel during its opening weekend—just days after it opened on the Tuesday. The staff were incredibly pleasant, helpful, and genuinely eager to make our visit enjoyable. I stayed on the 5th floor and, at the right angle, had a lovely view of the beach from the room. Our room was well-equipped and very functional. We had a great king-sized bed that was extremely comfortable, a fantastic power shower, and a handy mini fridge—perfect for keeping our drinks cold. I also appreciated the water station on each floor, a thoughtful touch that many hotels overlook. The location is very central, ideal for romantic walks around the harbour and the Arcadia area on either side of Portrush. The bar had a quirky Art Deco charm that was both classic and stylish—decorated beautifully to reflect the hotel's history and the local heritage. It was buzzing with people during our stay, no doubt because of the grand opening weekend, with lots of guests popping in for a nosey and a drink. While I didn’t try the breakfast, the buffet looked very extensive and well presented. I also noted how attentively the staff were looking after guests—professional, friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. There’s an Asian fusion restaurant on-site that looked fantastic—we’ll definitely be back to try it. We enjoyed two very reasonably priced whiskeys at the bar, a refreshing change from the inflated prices seen at some other nearby venues. Highly recommend booking through the Hilton Honors app—best prices and you can build up points for future stays. Can’t wait to return!

What a charming hotel! Crisp contemporary decor throughout but also lovely to see the sympathetically restored frontage, giving a very welcoming and cosy feel. The bar and restaurant were relaxed and comfortable, as was the room, and we loved the little touches like the glass bottles in the mini-fridge for water and the hydration stations for refills! Staff were warm and helpful, and never too busy to answer questions or just have a friendly chat. Great food too! Looking forward to a return visit.

I am blowin away with the attention to details in the decor and ambience with my 1st experience of the new Marcus Hotel. Staff in bar and restaurant were amazing!!! We will definitely be back!

I went very excited , to have a card machine turned round with minimum 18% tip before even getting drinks is insulting. Portrush is becoming American but this takes it too far!!! Staff nice but no knowledge of drinks, interior lovely, welcoming but just ok, not sure I would pick it over alternatives.
