The hotel was clean and well presented inside and outside. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and the beds were comfy. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and both times I was very pleased with the room and the service. A short 2 minute walk away from the hotel is a selection of convenient shops including a large Tesco store with petrol station, Costa, Krispy Kreme, Greggs, Subway, McDonald's, Lidl, Home Bargains, Pure Gym and a pet supplies store. There is also a Pizza Hut and a Beefeater next to the hotel. All you could need for your stay at the hotel, making Premier Port Solent an ideal location. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Portsmouth.

If you like sleeping in an oven, this is perfect. Unfortunately the advertised air conditioning (one of the main reasons we chose this location) had a maintainance spanner on the controls and we could not change the settings. Despite repeat visits to reception, we couldn't cool the room down. Worst night's sleep at a Premier Inn in a long time.

Good points were: Bed and room is comfy Staff were pleasant Food waste nice Bad points: Room wasn't cleaned well Room cups weren't washed properly Very understaffed Despite not being busy, tables took ages to be cleared. Food wasn't readily available Coffee machine not working Ran out of bowls Ran out of plates Air con blasting cold air in dining area. My overall feeling was this felt like a neglected premier inn. Maybe not the places fault directly. But Premier inns need to address these issues because the bad out weighs the good and we wouldn't stay here again unfortunately.

I booked 5 rooms and we had mixed experiences. Some good some terrible. This hotel has lack of staff and it really shows. Check in was long and the check in screens didn’t really work, so had a long wait to get key. The receptionist was fed up and it showed. Trying to find staff in this place is a nightmare. Also I think house keeping was on holiday. As they don’t clean if you stay for more than one night. Worst part was when one of our party had to help the manager to reset the electrics in the room. Shower leaked over the floor and the room needed maintenance urgently. Premier plus rooms are not the high standards you expect. Expect bad and you may get good with this hotel. Nice hotel. Easily located. Very busy so unfortunately no reservation for dinner. Checkin was easy. Room was nice and clean - would’ve liked to have been able to open windows but no big deal. Rather small bar/restaurant area in comparison to other premier inns, but nice breakfast and accommodating and friendly staff.
