Rejens Hotel

Es war super, dass eine kleine Küche dazu gehörte. Das Frühstück war mit Liebe gemacht und das Personal sehr freundlich. Ohne Auto ist die Lage etwas abgelegen. Aber man kann in 20 min zum Strand laufen.

We stayed in room 101. First the good. Friendly staff (when you could find them). Plenty of parking. Room had a spacious living room/kitchenette area and separate bedroom. Mini split A/C units in both rooms. On to the not so good. We sat down for breakfast in the small dining area above reception and had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone even noticed we were there. There were only two other people dining (they already had their food), but it still took about 30 minutes before we got our two omelettes. Hot water in the room was minimal and lukewarm at best. The hot water is supplied through an instant water heater located under the kitchen sink, and designed to supply only a sink. When trying to take a shower, anything more than a trickle would cause the Circuit breaker to trip and begin spraying only cold water. I checked underneath the sink and found that the small heater that supplies, the kitchen and bathroom required a 40 amp fuse, and when I checked inside the breaker panel, I found that it was only being serviced by a 20 amp circuit breaker. This caused me to stand by the breaker box while my wife showered and reset the breaker two or three times before she was able to complete her washing. On day two, we were told that someone would look into that and when we left on day seven, no one had bothered to fix it. Speaking of the shower, it had a handheld showerhead that was mounted at about chest height and facing straight toward you. Seems it would be a pretty simple fix to mount the shower head holder a bit higher so that the option to just stand underneath a shower would be available. Through trial and error I finally figured out that if you barely turned on the hot water in the shower, it would at least not trip the undersized breaker and provide warm water for the duration of washing. The small TV provided in the living room was basically useless, as there was no cable or other viewing options. The small balcony located off of the bedroom had no drain and continuously held water for the entire seven days we were there. Lastly, although a small thing, the toilet had to be very carefully flushed or the flapper would get caught on the ball float and continuously run until the tank cover was removed and the flapper was manually pushed back down to its proper position. Most of the property is littered with construction debris and junk. I realize that this hotel is probably still recovering from some hurricane damage, but the last hurricane was in 2017.

Très décevant Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel 3 nuits à la suite de l’annulation de notre logement choisi initialement (********** nous a replacé au Rejens Hôtel). Nous avons séjourné dans la suite (deux chambres, deux salle de bain et cuisine). Le mobilier est vieillot mais les lits sont confortables. Un peu bruyant par moment la nuit (proche de la route). Les draps, serviettes et rideaux sont tachés, il vaudrait vraiment la peine de les changer. Le ménage était acceptable. Nous n’avons pas eu d’eau chaude dans les douches. Nous avons du nous même ouvrir l’eau dans les salles de bain au niveau de la tuyauterie pour avoir des toilettes fonctionnelles. La cuisine est fonctionnelle et la suite spacieuse. On nous a annoncé une vue océan partielle mais nous n’avons pas vu l’eau ! Nous avons aussi payé pour un petit déjeuner inclus mais l’hôtel a refusé de l’honorer. Le service client était exécrable (même pas un sourire, la majorité du temps il n’y avait personne à l’accueil incluant pour notre check-out. Stationnement facile.

TRAVELLERS BEWARE My family and I rented the social suite at Rejens hotel for 4 evenings in Dominica Upon arrival, we noted that we were the ONLY guests at the resort. There were 2 showers in the room, both of which did not have functioning faucets or hot water. The night manager, when asked 2 nights in a row to troubleshoot the hot water could not be bothered, except to tell us "just let it run" The first evening, the large flat-screen TV in the room had to be replaced as it was not working. Instead of providing a like in kindreplacement, a TV that was 1/3 of the size was placed there. On several occasions, I waited at the restaurant on the main floor for a half an hour before any of the staff even noticed that there were guests to serve. On our last evening, we told the staff that we wanted to settle to room bill as we were vacating the hotel at 6am the next morning. At the hotels request, they asked that we settle the bill in the morning before we leave. At this time, we also requested luggage assistance for the morning departure and were told it was no issue. 5:45am on the morning of our departure, I was running around all the floors of the hotel, yelling "hello" as there was no hotel staff to be found anywhere. All lights were off at the front desk and there are no phones in the rooms to contact anyone. As we had impending flights, we had to leave the hotel for the airport. We left our contact number on the desk of the hotel so that we could finalize payment. As we boarding our flight, minutes from departure (thank goodness), airport security pulled my family aside and stated that the hotel has called them and filed a police report and we will not be allowed to board the plane until it's resolved. Remember - this whole incident has been at the hotels request, who then could not be bothered to be awake at the stated time of our departure. Instead of contacting us as individuals, they contacted law enforcement. Instead of providing a proper and accurate invoice as requested the evening prior, we were "texted" photos of our bills, which were inaccurate. The bills had items we did not order, which considering we are the only guests, does not speak highly of the hotels organizational skills. On top of being forced to provide payment information over the phone, the hotel still did not even charge the card for the amount of the bills which was sent to us. Disorganized, not functional and poor work ethics. Thank you Rejens hotel for ruining my vacation - it is no wonder your resort is for sale and empty
