Adegas do Pico

Süsse und traditionelles Lavasteinhaus, es gibt verschiedene die vereinzelt stehen. Unseres war oberhalb der Ortschaft am steilen Hang mit tollem Blick aufs Meer und Sao Jorge. Dir Ausstattung und top, jedoch sollte man auch ein Naturmensch sein! Es wimmelt überall ums Haus von Eidechsen, die Vögel und Fledermäuse haben in den Spalte der Mauern aussen Ihre Nester. Wir fanden das toll! Nachteile: die Matratze war sehr hart ☹️ Und da es keine Heizung gibt, die Luftfeuchtigkeit sehr hoch ist, die Häuser nicht viel gelüftet werden (wenn unbewohnt) richt es ziemlich muffig, wände im Erdgeschoss sind feucht. Für 3 Nächte war es ein tolles Erlebnis.

Sehr gemütliches Haus über zwei Etagen. Unten ist Küche und Bad mit Dusche. Küche komplett eingerichtet. Oben ist das Schlafzimmer mit einer Couch. Wir waren im Weinhaus. Etwas abseits gelegen, circa 15 Minuten zu Fuß zur Kirche. Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend. Ein kleiner Garten mit Stühlen und Tisch ist vor dem Haus. Dort sind auch einige Katzen. Das Haus ist insgesamt eher kalt. Unten ist eine Elektroheizung, im Schlafzimmer eine Klimaanlage, die natürlich auch heizt. Dadurch kann man es einigermaßen warm bekommen. Kaffee für die Kaffeemaschine, etwas Brot und Marmelade stehen bereit. Ein sehr typisches Haus mit viel Charme.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend that anyone stay here. We had a number of issues: 1. Cleanliness - there were centipedes everywhere, including in our bed during the night which was very unsettling. We complained and basically nothing was done about this, other than putting a useless glue trap down. The house had clearly not been cleaned properly and had cobwebs / dead insects scattered around the place. 2. The toilet was leaking. Again, we complained, and they sent someone to "fix" the issue, however this was never remedied - all that happened was that a dirty towel was left behind in the bathroom (they didn't even dry the floor) 3. The AC didn't work The host was very responsive and friendly, but really didn't take any responsibility for these issues, and we ended up moving to another hotel. Very disappointing - avoid.

Poetry in Paradise Amazing house in paradise, the entire accommodation was super comfortable and with all necessary equipment to make you feel at home , the kitchen is fully equipped and even has washing machine if you need to wask some clothing,everything is in full conditions Simple but with love this house will not disappoint you. The views from the living room and from the lovely balcony are a must. And the team ,specially the receptionist ,went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible ! Thank you !

My family and I stayed at Adegas do Porto for two nights this August, and were excited about the chance to stay at such a charming, authentic home in the heart of Pico. The house had the basics and necessities needed for our stay, and the staff were readily available by phone or email. A welcome basket of local bread, jam, coffee and tea was prepared and set out on the table for our arrival. This, however, was the extent of the positive experiences we had at Adegas do Porto. Soon after arriving, we began to notice bugs covering the walls of the bedrooms downstairs. One room, had over 10 spiders on the ceiling, and the other had multiple house centipedes running across the walls, into the floor, and even onto the bed. We also noticed that the en-suite bathroom toilet appeared to be leaking. When wiping up some of the water, we were shocked to find a lizard in the trash bin. The lizards were also in the walls of the kitchen, and a bat flew into the outside stone of the house while we were on the patio. The final issue before reaching out to the host was the fact that none of the outlets in the bedrooms were working... An email was sent to inform the host of these issues, to which the response was: "Thank you so much for your email and information! It was a pleasure to welcome you and we look forward to your next visit 😊 Have a nice evening." We do understand that this is an authentic lava home within the wild nature of the Azores, however, did not appreciate the toilet paper stuffed between the bottom edges of the wall and the floorboards, signaling that the host was well-aware of the issue prior to us reaching out. Suffice it to say, we did not sleep well during the two nights we spent here.

Tre giorni splendidi in una casa bellissima e grande. Due piani: sotto le due grandi camere ognuna con il proprio bagno (di cui uno con bidet!) e sopra grande living con cucina e un altro bagno. Sempre sopra enorme terrazzo dove poter mangiare e vedere delle albe spettacolari Parcheggio enorme privato Casa arredata benissimo e completa di tutto Personale sempre disponibile via WA, ci siamo fatti portare la colazione, a pagamento, per la prima mattina ed è stata sufficiente anche per la seconda mattina Senza dubbio la migliore sistemazione di tre settimane alle Azzorre. Fantastica!
