GGuest UserQuirky but in a good way. The receptionist correctly confirmed that my booking was for a standard double room, so when I opened the door I was amazed to find a huge room with two double beds and a single and enough empty floor space for another three doubles. My amazement continued when I walked into the bathroom (again huge) with two large spa baths (I later tried one - very relaxing). The site has a lot of history having been a country house, home of a German princess, Jesuit retreat and an RAF leadership school. Set in several acres of grounds which also made for a pleasant walk after an enjoyable dinner. I’ve sometimes paid more for a Premier Inn or Travelodge.
