Travellers Rest

We enjoyed our stay very much. Jude and Bryan were very obliging and helpful, and their breakfast was delicious! Though basic, the unit was very clean and well maintained, and had everything we needed. One small observation, parking could be a problem if all the units are full, especially if there are larger vehicles. Otherwise a very pleasant stay and we would recommend it.

The rooms were lovely, and well stocked with all the necessities. The hosts were very welcoming and informative about the area. The garden was wonderful and the bird-life was very interesting and entertaining. The views of the area from the upstairs deck gave us a wonderful view of the nearby mountains and the gorgeous sunset.

We love staying there. Always very very clean and neat. The host are very welcoming. It is so peaceful. Everything works, always hot water to shower. Bedding is lovely. Feels like home! Very well situated and close to everything.

Due to a booking mishap at another place in town, we thought we'd be sleeping on the pavement that night. Thankfully, Travellers Rest had a last-minute cancellation on one of the busiest weekends in town. Here, we met two of the warmest hosts, Bryan and Judith aka "Jude" who welcomed us like family. They showed us to our lovely comfortable room, where just next door they've built the coolest outside lounge where guests can converge and have a glass of wine or a cuppa Joe and enjoy each others' company. Not to mention on top of this lounge is a deck with a bench where one can stargaze at night, so magical!!! And don't worry if you don't know what to do or where to visit in town. Bryan and Jude will point you to all the charming places where you can make the most of your time in their quaint town of Prince Albert, we certainly did, thanks to them. I can't wait to go back to their little piece of heaven and hospitality.

Well maintained, managed, tidy, clean. Really pleasant. Excellent breakfast, good service, friendly nice people.

Judith our host really pulled out all the stops to make us feel at home! She even went out of her way to secure a restaurant booking! Attention to detail and comfort was evident! A nice spacious shower, aircon positioned to cool the room and not blow directly on the bed. Well designed privacy for each room with own "stoep" and garden. Very cozy atmosphere on the big stoep with a hearty breakfast! Well rested and a great experience! Definitely a place to revisit!
