This means our waters are warm, calm, and shallow for quite a way out and we do not for the most part of traditional walk-in beaches. For guests wishing to swim in the Caribbean, our dock has stairs leading into the water, diving is not permitted. Please note: periodically, Belize, along with other areas of Central America, The Caribbean, Mexico, and USA, will experience periods of Sargassum Seaweed washing ashore. Sargassum Seaweed comes from the Sargasso Sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is normally kept at bay by water temperatures and currents. We have a small plunge pool in the yard where you can cool down while enjoying the Caribbean views and breezes.Q. DO YOU PROVIDE POOL TOWELS?A. We provide one pool towel per person. We are happy to swap towels if requested. Q. CAN WE DRINK THE WATER?A. We start you off with 5-Gallons of purified drinking water in a dispenser. Additional 5-gallons can be provided upon request.Q. IS THERE A DUTY-FREE SHOP ON THE ISLAND?A. There is no duty-free shopping available on island. When you arrive in Belize, there is a duty-free shop at baggage claim where you can stock up on liquor and other items if you’d like.Q. HOW CAN WE GET GROCERIES?A. We can provide recommendations for provisioning services in advance of your arrival or you can grocery shop once you are on island.Q. ARE THERE RESTAURANTS, BARS OR GROCERY STORES NEARBY?A. STAX Coffee bar/restaurant, open seasonally during the day, is located a short walk from our house. The nearest small store is approximately 1.5 miles north as are Black Orchid and Someplace South restaurants.
