"I believe this is probably the most objective review you'll find online. As a Trip.com Diamond member who has stayed at countless properties, this is the *only* hotel that has genuinely made me angry. Trip.com recommended it, advertising a garden view room for 1150, but I was assigned a small, moldy room instead. I decided to pay for an upgrade; one staff member quoted me 600 for two nights, but another front desk agent later said it was only 450. Can they just make up prices like that? After finally moving to a hot spring room on the first floor, it was clear the decor had been renovated. It was passable, but certainly not worth the 1400 price tag. I don't know if people in Shenzhen are just rolling in money and not very discerning, but having stayed in countless hotels, this is the first time I've seen a place like this with a 4.8-star rating.
On a positive note, the hot spring section was actually quite good. I'd give it a high rating – it's spacious, enjoyable, and popular, so expect crowds. The hotel's other amenities are comprehensive, and services like massages and hair washes are surprisingly affordable. Water activities are available for purchase, depending on your interest and budget.
The buffet, however, is highly *un*recommended. We paid 800 for 2 adults and 1 child, and it consisted mostly of run-of-the-mill food with no premium ingredients. The Chinese restaurant, on the other hand, offered much better value for money and delicious food.
In summary, I think a fair price for a room here would be around 500, with an additional 800+ for hot spring access. The rooms in the villa section are excellent, and I'd recommend them if your budget allows. Overall, I still feel this hotel is significantly overpriced and offers poor value for money. It's clearly a rip-off targeting the middle class. I wouldn't recommend the hotel itself, but the hot springs are definitely worth visiting."
