Hotel Restaurant la Gazelle de Dades

La Gazelle de Dades is a wonderful place to spend the night after a long day of travelling. It feels like home, the atmosphere is really nice. Very comfortable rooms with a hot shower and nice decorations. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is super! The Gorge and rock formations are a fenominal! Breakfast is really nice. Thank you very much. I highly recommend La Gazelle de Dades to all travellers!

Het hotel was zeer gedateerd en de kamer had achterstallig onderhoud . Er waren geen toiletartikelen beschikbaar en de wc stond los op de vloer. De deur van de badkamer klemde en had afgebladderde verf. Het geluid van de receptie en de overloop was in kamer (nr 1) zeer goed te horen. Het diner en het ontbijt waren goed en het personeel heel erg vriendelijk.

Hier is denk ik al heel lang niemand van een reisorganisatie geweest voor een check. Kamer 1 viel ons ten deel. Alsof je naast een draaiend cruise schip ligt. Zoveel kabaal van buiten. De matrassen liggen op een betonnen fundering. Keihard. Lauwwarme douche. In de badkamer zelf is alles dringend aan vervanging toe. Met de airco op 29 graden blijft de kamer onbehaaglijk. Wel vriendelijke personeel. Die doen hun best.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel en allant à Merzouga et nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Super accueil! Personnel aux petits soins! L’ambiance berbère très convivial du dinner, bon petit déjeuner. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Avoid Hotel La Gazelle du Dades at All Costs Our experience at Hotel La Gazelle du Dades was a complete nightmare. Upon arrival, we realized the hotel was located in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do or see outside. The hotel itself was dirty and outdated. The rooms were filthy, the beds were unclean, and the bathroom didn’t even have proper lighting or basic essentials like soap. The towels provided were dirty as well. The food quality was very poor—just bland potatoes and some vegetables, and we were unexpectedly charged over 100 dirhams for small cups of tea for all family members without prior notice. The worst part of our stay happened at 5 a.m. when the hotel caught fire. No one from the staff informed us about the fire, nor did they have any safety protocols in place. There were no alarms, no emergency exits, and no effort to evacuate guests. My family and I woke up to thick smoke, unable to see or breathe properly, and had to evacuate on our own. When we told the staff that six members of our family were still upstairs, they shockingly dismissed it as “not a problem.” My mother had to go back into the smoke-filled hotel to scream for the rest of our family members to ensure they got out safely. It was horrifying and traumatizing. Once outside, we were left in the cold, wearing nothing but sheets and random blankets. The staff made no effort to assist us, provide shelter, or even call emergency services like the police, firefighters, or an ambulance. We stood outside in the cold for hours, completely unprepared, and later had to travel the rest of the day still smelling of smoke and wearing the same dirty clothes. The hotel took no responsibility for this disaster and acted as though nothing had happened. This place has no regard for guest safety or well-being. The lack of emergency measures and the staff’s indifference to such a life-threatening situation caused me severe PTSD and trauma. I genuinely feared for my life and the lives of my family members. Do not stay at Hotel La Gazelle du Dades. It is unsafe, unhygienic, and run by people who clearly don’t care about their guests. This was the most stressful and terrifying experience I’ve ever had. Il y a eu un incendie le 23 décembre matin. En l'absence de personnel (veilleur, accueil,...) et de système d'alerte incendie, si je n'avais pas été là pour donner l'alerte les dégâts auraient pu être pire. Il y avait des bombonnes de gaz a proximité du départ de l'incendie. Pour la petite histoire, en l'absence de sortie de secours (la porte d'entrée étant inaccessible par les flammes) nous sommes descendus du 2eme étage en rappel avec des draps noués. Il n'y a eu aucune prise en charge des occupants (médecins, pompiers, ...) Pour votre sécurité évitez cet hôtel !!!
