The resort was so beautiful and the hosting of Lella and Fausto made it even more welcoming. The rooms are an excellent size and finished to an excellent standard. The daily breakfast was excellent and the coffee was great. We were give great recommendations for food and places to visit. The pool and jacuzzi were lovely and the views of both Mt Etna and the ocean were lovely.

We booked an apartment for two at Virdamuri - Etna Country Resort during our trip to Sicily in Dec 2024. This is ONE OF THE BEST accommodations we ever had. And we've stayed in many since both of us love to travel. Lella, who manages the premise, will make you feel at home immediately upon your arrival. She is the perfect host that you can ever ask for. She made us feel at home and like family that I called her my sister. She provided us so many useful tips for our visit around Sicily. The room is comfortable and spacious and since we were the only visitors during this low season in December, Lella gave us her full attention. She and her family have made the area a wonderful place to stay in. And if you, like us, love to see Mama Etna (as we call Mount Etna), then the view out of the window from the apartment we had is BREATHTAKING. What a stay!!! I'd fully recommend it with a heartbeat.

Wer es nicht mag, liebevoll umsorgt zu werden, kein Bedürfnis hat, vom gepflegten Pool aus je nach Kopfbewegung entweder den Ätna oder das Meer zu sehen, wer keine Lust auf guten Schlaf und gutes Frühstück unter Palmen hat, wen vor Früchten strotzende Zitronenbäume und eine gut ausgestattete Küche im Appartement kalt lassen, der sollte da nicht absteigen. In Giarre und Riposto ist gut zu essen und trinken. Tipps für die nähere und weitere Umgebung (bis Palermo…) gibt die Chefin bereitwillig auf Deutsch oder Englisch, falls man des Italienischen nicht mächtig ist. Hinweis: Ohne Auto ist Virdamuri schwierig erreichbar, und man bedarf des Navis, um die Zufahrt beim ersten Anlauf zu finden.

Si trova in aperta campagna dove c’è poco e nulla ma quando si entra ci si trova veramente a casa. Lella è di un’accoglienza e generosità unica che difficilmente ho trovato altrove. Case confortevoli con vista sull’Etna e ottima colazione. Bel giardino e piscina, che d’inverno ovviamente non abbiamo utilizzato ma è sempre un plus della struttura magari in altre stagioni. Punto strategico per chi atterra a Catania e vuole visitare la riviera dei Ciclopi, Taormina e salire sull’Etna

Wij hebben een fantastische ervaring gehad door te verblijven op deze locatie. Eigenlijk is er niets om over te klagen. Het allerbeste aan deze locatie vonden we de persoonlijke aandacht van Andrea en Lella (de eigenaren). Zij zorgen ontzettend goed voor hun gasten door hun vriendelijkheid, aanwezigheid en adviezen. We voelden ons ontzettend welkom. De accommodatie had een prachtige ligging met duidelijk zicht op de Etna. Het is ruim opgezet vanbinnen. Netjes schoongemaakt. Prettige bedden. Mooi balkon. Keuken voldoet aan de eisen (alleen was er geen koffiezetapparaat, maar dat kon je bestellen bij de ‘bar’). Fantastisch zwembad en jacuzzi. Heerlijke tuin. Geweldige omgeving. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid.
