Il posto merita,sia per la natura che lo contorna che per la raffinatezza degli ambienti,pur nella loro semplicita'. La cucina è molto buona,con sapori antichi rivisitati . Grande varietà dei primi piatti, molto saporito ( Maccarone de busa, gnocchetti al ragù di cinghiale, pane frattau, pasta fresca con melanzane. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto andare oltre con i secondi, per raggiunta sazietà,ma il porcetto che abbiamo visto servire ai tavoli vicini era molto invitante.Ottimi dolci ( per quanto abbiamo constatato gustando i gelati della casa). Onesto il conto, i digestivi sono stati offerti dalla casa.

Beautiful, eclectic property.

Wij hebben 3 nachten half board in mei ver vooruit geboekt waardoor aanbieding 2 nachten betalen. Normaal is dit hotel behoorlijk aan de prijs maar deze aanbieding was zeer de moeite waard. Fijne ruime kamer met terras met jacuzzi, uitstekend ontbijt geserveerd op het terras met prachtig uitzicht. Vaste tafel op goede plek in restaurant en geen fixed menu voor half board maar keuze uit alle gerechten op de ruime kaart. De sfeer is heel Sardijns met overal meubels en decoratie met een geschiedenis. "Het is een hotel met een hart" zoals iemand opmerkte. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en aan alles is duidelijk aandacht besteed maar daar is de prijs ook wel naar. Het zwembad is sfeervol en er zijn in het complex diverse mooie locaties voor allerlei activiteiten. In de kamer staat een tas met handdoeken voor het zwembad. De ligging is vrij afgelegen en er is geen lift. Geen aanrader indien slecht ter been.

From the moment we turned into the drive entering the hotel property, we knew we were about to experience something amazing. The Old Spanish architecture was charming. We were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff members who made us feel right at home. Our room was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities you would expect. The dining experiences were first class and afforded outdoor views that were simply stunning. We found the service to be prompt and pleasant. The food was great! The location of the hotel was convenient to many wineries and other attractions. For us, one of the best features was the quiet and totally relaxing atmosphere. Our stay was wonderful and we would definitely stay there again.

This is a very different kind of hotel. I believe it started off as a restaurant and so many people came here to eat. They built a hotel around it. The hotel comprises several different white stucco buildings scattered around the property. The people at the front desk could not have been nicer with a special shout out to the lovely Simona. The restaurant serves hardy, adequate fare with a nice selection. They also have a reasonably priced wine list. It was a perfectly pleasant place to have one’s evening meal before walking back to the room. The flora of the property is quite stunning with both wild and potted flowers everywhere which sent the air with a perfume smell. This is far from any busy roads so it is a very quiet place and very suitable to getting a great nights sleep. They have a very nice pool with full service to the clients and a great gym as well. We were a little bit, disappointed in the upper Terrace. The way the sofas are designed make it hard to lean back. Moreover, because it was so busy, we did have some difficulty getting good tables there in the evening. This being said, the drinks were very well crafted and came with a generous array of little snacks as is the custom in Italy. They also have another, very agreeable bar down by the reception area, which is where we ended up most nights. The people who work there were very nice. For breakfast, they had just about anything you could want. Sometimes, toward the end of the breakfast service, they would run out of various items and not replenish them. Some mornings we were offered coffee by the servers. Other mornings, without any explanation, we Made it ourselves at a self service machine in the breakfast room. Not really a problem just a little confusing. This place mostly gets points for its location. It is in the mountains and offers a vast array of activities such as hiking, rock, climbing, swimming. You name it. The hotel will help arrange these activities and, in my opinion, they were all fairly priced. There is a lovely, freshwater stream within walking distance of the hotel, and it is also located close to many Nuraghe excavations. I also recommend a drive over to Cala Ganone, a very pretty beach town, not far from the hotel. The owner of the hotel is always on site and could not have been more gracious, lovely, and helpful. I admire her for what she has done with this property. This is by no means a luxury hotel. In fairness to them, they do not profess to be. They have a mini golf course, which is in desperate need of maintenance. They appear to cater to groups of bicyclists and other tour groups, which sometimes cause a little congestion. Also, people with motility issues need to be aware. There are a lot of steps. Also, the rooms sometimes are built on different levels and with the white floors in the white steps, it can be very easy to trip. In summary, I’m very glad we went here. Positives-Friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Large pool that’s clean and at a good temperature. Dinner was very good and the wine is reasonably priced. Negatives-The chairs in the restaurant are uncomfortable. The sun loungers by the pool are too low and there’s not enough shaded areas. Breakfast was disappointing as they do not seem to replenish the bacon and scrambled eggs regularly. There’s very little salad or vegetables on offer. The homemade bread was all gone by 9.15 and not replaced. Overall - There’s not enough staff at this large and sprawling hotel to focus on the detail that would warrant the extra star review. For the price it should be better.
