Die Lage mitten in der Stadt ist für uns perfekt gewesen- das Appartement war groß und sauber ( die Betten haben wir zusammengeschoben). Lediglich der französische Balkon war für uns ein Manko, weil man nicht rausgehen konnte. Aber unser Fehler, das haben wir bei der Buchung nicht beachtet. Frühstück : man wählt aus drei Varianten und wird dann bedient ( zusätzlich auf der Theke nochmal alles was man braucht). Alles an Frühstücksvarianten wurde ausprobiert - alles gut, und vor allem mehr als ausreichend, da wird jeder satt. Die Einrichtung ist nicht super modern, aber für den Preis absolut gerechtfertigt. Personal sehr freundlich, alles in allem ein gutes Hotel um sich in der Stadt zu bewegen . Parkplätze rund herum Mangelware - aber das kennt man ja von Puerto. Hoteleigene Parkgarage leider nur mit wenigen Parkplätzen und deshalb für uns ausgebucht gewesen

Cons: first night there was weird electrical noise all night long could hear through earplugs. Other nights it wasn’t as bad so not sure what it was. Hot water ran out most days pretty quickly. I wanted a bath a couple of nights as I’m pregnant but the hot water ran out when it was about a quarter full and then for some reason drained even with the plug in? Was self catering but if not out of room by about 11 room didn’t get cleaned. Generally if you go somewhere self catering it’s because you want a lie in and more of a chilled morning so our towels only got changed once and the 2nd time had to ask for new towels at reception. All the doors in the room were really squeaky, woke husband every night when I went to bathroom. Not a huge deal but something that’s easily fixed. Not enough plugs in kitchenette area No air con which I knew before booking however assumed there would be an adequate fan, it’s was not adequate and woke up really hot every night/morning Pros: Staff friendly Pool area nice and quiet and clean Could leave cases with reception on check out Location is excellent, close to everything Beds comfy although it’s two put together so it’s comes apart at night Building is lovely with nice plants all around and feels very ‘Spanish’ Affordable considering how close it is to everything

RF Astoria - Only Adults ligger svært sentralt til gode restauranter og Cafeer i en trivelig del av Puerto de la Cruz. Resepsjonen har bare svært hyggelige og profesjonelle medarbeidere og de skaper en god atmosfære knyttet til hotellet.

I had a week of vacation to take and wanted to go somewhere familiar. I was alone and booked the hotel Astor, which I did not know before, but which had the downtown location I wanted. The room was big but strangely bare: Tiled floor, a french balcony to the pedestrian street (it was the only window), two beds, a small table and two wooden chairs - and that was it. Even the lighting was "bare", bed lamps and two ceiling light fixtures, nothing more. There was no comfortable chair, no sofa, only those two "kitchen" chairs. Even the well-equipped kitchenette had three of everything - cups, mugs, plates, cutlery etc. If I had had two visitors, one would have had nowhere to sit. The bath was adequate, the storage as usual, the room was dark but it was the second floor from the street and one window only The hotel common spaces were nice, lots of sofas and easy chairs, sideboards with lamps and reading corners, a billiards table. The breakfast was one of the best I have enjoyed, much variety and offeri9ng, only the old and tired toaster irritated. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, real hospitability there! If I would have stayed several weeks I would have asked the personnel to move some of the public spaces furniture and lamps to my room but now I did not bother. After all I had wanted a good location and that I certainly got!
