I stayed at Ereza Los Hibiscos in May in a one-bedroom apartment booked through Jet2, which lists this as a 3-star hotel — but in its current state, I’d say it’s closer to a 2-star unless a few areas are improved. The positives first: The location is excellent — there’s a Spar just outside, a few bars and restaurants nearby, and it’s only a short walk to the main ***** and the beach. The sea view from our room was lovely, and the apartment itself was spacious and clean on arrival. The bed was comfortable, although one of the pillows was completely flat. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, and check-out at 12pm was appreciated. We were also given an all-inclusive wristband until our later departure, which was a nice touch. The bar staff were friendly, and while the drinks were basic, they were as expected for this type of hotel (cocktails from a machine, etc.). There were also some complimentary toiletries like a comb and shower cap in the room. However, there were several issues: The room had a strange smell on arrival, so I had to buy air freshener. The biggest let-down was the food — it was poor quality, often cold, and very limited. I was even served a raw croissant at breakfast, which I didn’t know was possible! We ended up eating out for every meal. Housekeeping was inconsistent: Our bins were emptied more than once, but not regularly, despite the hotel information stating they should be done every second day. Sheets weren’t changed at all (a stain on night one made that obvious) despite the hotel stating this would be done once a week. The bed was only made twice. Towels were once left on the sofa and nothing else was done, and the floor wasn't swept or mopped. The room also lacked air conditioning, and the windows opened fully onto an internal corridor with no latch, so couldn’t be left open for air — in hotter months, I can’t imagine how stuffy it must get. Fans appear to be an extra charge, and WiFi isn’t included either, which in 2025 really shouldn’t be the case. Another frustration was the poolside sunbed situation. Guests were reserving beds with towels from early morning and not using them until after lunch (some not at all). This happened daily and staff made no effort to remove unattended towels, despite sunbeds being quite limited around a small pool. Overall: While the location and room size were good, the poor food, lack of aircon, housekeeping issues, and extra charges for basic amenities really let the hotel down. With some attention to detail and improvements, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.
