Desire Riviera Maya Pearl Resort All Inclusive - Couples Only

As usual the experience was amazing!! The resort is 5 star in my book, clean comfortable and fantastic food! The staff is always friendly and polite and go above and beyond to ensure yu have a great time.

Rooms need upgrading. There no beach left. You can't swim in the ocean...it's all full of seagrass! Breakfast was great...and lunch so so. Dinner menu and food terrible.

10 stars! It’s been a month since we returned from our second trip at Desire Pearl, and we are counting the days until we return. Not knowing what to expect on our first trip, it was way beyond our expectations. The Pearl “Vibe” does not disappear after you return home, it just makes you want more. Everything is perfect! From the grounds to groundkeepers, to the restaurants, waitstaff and the food, the entertainment and entertainers, the spa, the front desk staff, maintenance and housekeeping, the Play Makers, the bartenders, the pool staff, everyone and everything! Special shout outs to Victor & Miquel the pool guys. They always made sure we had our favorite spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Chef Didier from Afrodita, who made us a special lunch for our Anniversary, which was fantastic! Gilberto from Pearl Restaurant who made our Anniversary dinner very memorable. In fact, every single staff member makes you feel comfortable and special. If you are thinking about a trip to Pearl……do it! It will be worth it. Even if you are not in the lifestyle, we are not, it is truly an experience of a lifetime. We have met so many wonderful people late at night in the hot tub and had some great conversations with couples that were there for the same reasons. There is NO judging, NO commitments, NO limits, and NO clothes! To the management - A comment. We noticed this last trip the Spa staff were constantly walking around the pool asking if we wanted to book spa services. I realize that this gets business, but it was numerous times a day. It seemed that there were many times we were asked if we wanted pictures, spa services, excursions, sales pitches all day long. Although it did not ruin our trip in the least, but at times awkward, we are there to relax. It would be nice if there was somewhere for those who are interested in these things get the information, instead of at our pool side beds. (We did go snorkeling and it was absolutely awesome!)

Pros: Staff is amazing, dinner is great, relaxing atmosphere, very clean Cons: rest of food is very average, rooms do need a makeover (do not make this a dealbreaker), emphasis on extras We will be returning. The new construction will open up this resort.

Desire Pearl is an amazing resort, with an incredible staff, and a truly unique, sensual experience. Adults only, couples only fun from the minute you arrive until you have to go home. Rooms are very nice and extremely well-maintained. Two pools and a jacuzzi with bars everywhere! Start with check-in, all smiling faces- Mariana and Leonardo checked us in and immediately upgraded our room. The bell staff is prompt and attentive. Luggage was held and delivered to our room when it was ready. Pool staff is great, Horacio, Antonio, and Jorge take care of every need. Pool wait staff is fun and friendly. Bartenders are efficient and having fun- Saul, Jorge, Eddy make the pool and the disco better! The wait staff provides excellent service, five star all the way! Mayrani, Elena, Poot, Belen, and Jorge are wonderful. The playmakers are keep games fun and the action moving at the pools! The highlights are Candise and Kia! Private snorkeling trip with Adolfo was incredible! Desire Pearl is an amazing resort that has a little something for every adult. Take things fast or take things slowly, you will not regret this trip!

The property seems to have changed somewhat from what we remember it being previously. The staff was excellent and usually the food and drink was very good. We had only one poor meal at Pearl and I questioned if some of the drinks were perhaps watered down. They did not taste what a newly opened bottle should. Most disappointing was the condition of the pool, jacuzzi and general grounds .... needed attention. In particular, it is time to redo water areas as the tile is old and sometimes not clean. Remodel Time!
