Beautiful hotel. Always spotless and easy to get a sun bed even in school holidays. The best tip was to take the two lifts down in the montebello (your room card gives u access through the gates) to save all the steps. Amazing holiday thanks!

Gran Canaria 2025 We arrived Friday 1st August to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. 🥂We booked hotel Hartaguna after a recommendation from our daughter and son in law who had stayed just 4 months earlier ( they loved it) 👍 Hotel Hartaguna is lovely, clean and well serviced and we never had to fight for a sunbed 😉 The staff were lovely and polite and one young lady in particular on reception was very friendly, chatty and nothing was too much trouble (think her name was Gabriella 🙃)

My partner and I stayed in room 605 from 03.07.25 until 10.07.25. The hotel is very clean, and all of the reception staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Manuella, who advised on where to order food on our first night (we arrived late), and booked excursions for us. The room itself was spotless and spacious, with a nice balcony (complete with 2 reclining chairs, table, and small space to hang wet bathing suits/towels) that had a view of the harbour and sea. There is a kitchen area comprising of a fridge, microwave, 2 ring hob, kettle, toaster, and coffee percolator. There are enough plates and cutlery etc. For 2 people. The bed was very comfy, and had some of the best pillows I've ever slept on whilst on holiday.The bathroom was a good size, with a large walk in shower that has both standard and waterfall options. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom, but it is a typical hotel one attached to the wall and isn't very powerful. There was a bottle of water in the fridge on arrival which was appreciated. There is a safe in the wardrobe (which has hangers) which is free to use. There is a smart TV in the room, however, we had issues connecting to some of the apps, and couldn't use Netflix. We were also unable to cast to the TV. There is a small bin under the sink, but bigger bins on each corridor. Once the balcony doors were shut we didn't hear any noise from outside, though I can't comment on whether this would be the case during high season. As well as bathroom towels each room also comes with pool towels too. The pool area is kept very clean, and had a lot of seating both near to the pool and around the corner where there is a jacuzzi and multiple beds (these are all sun facing for the vast majority of the day, but all have umbrellas for shade). There is a well stocked pool bar that is open 9am - 5pm daily, and serves lovely food. Everything we ate here was cooked well and tasty. Happy hour is from 12pm - 1pm, and has a good range of cocktails to choose from. There is a lifeguard on duty until 6pm daily, but the pool remains open after this. The only day we didn't see a cleaner was on Sunday, and on the days they cleaned our room they were efficient and did a great job. The hotel is an equal distance between the commercial centre (down the hill) and Europa Centre (up the hill) which is where most of the shops and restaurants etc. Are located. It took us around 10 minutes to walk down, but the walk may be unsuitable for those with mobility issues as you either have to walk down a lot of steps, or wind around the road. However, it is very easy to get a taxi, and costs around €4-5 to either destination. There is a small supermarket in the sister hotel across the road, and this is open daily until 5pm. The only thing we struggled to get here was fresh fruit as the options were limited. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Beautifully maintained apartments&hotel! Bar was excellent for happy hour, but nachos were disgusting, greasy beef & quite tasteless! Drinks good however the bar closed promptly at 5! We wouldn’t return as was a little high up, so had to have a taxi back

This hotel is amazing! It’s an adult only hotel so it’s pretty quiet, rooms are spectacular equipped with everything you could possibly need. And the pool is breath taking and genuinely beautiful. It opens 9-5 but they are happy for you to swim after hours as long as you know the risks. There’s so many local shops just a 10 minute walk & the hotel offers late checkout. Special shoutout to Manuela from reception, the most funniest down to earth girl. Thank you for making our stay extra special with your lovely attitude. Ps, thank you for the scissors those eyelashes were way too big. Highly recommend, if we stay in Gran Canaria we’ll definitely be staying here again.

If I could give a 3.5 out of 5 I would. This hotel is average. Would i stay again, yes I would. The things that scored it down for us is the overall cleanliness. Our room was slightly dusty on arrival. The wardrobe had a layer of dust inside. We dropped our tv remote under the bed and i really wish we hadn't looked, it was thick with dust with clumps of hair. It was disgusting! The pool toilets weren't always the cleanest. The cleaners visited 3 times in our 7 night stay which became a pain with amount of rubbish we had vs. the small bin. Its the first hotel we've stayed at that doesn't have daily cleaners. The restaurant serves nice food and there is happy hour on drinks 12-1pm (buy one get one free). But, it closes at 5pm. There are no evening drinks at the bar at this hotel. Also, if its raining you have no where to sit as there is no cover. The self catering facilities has everything you need, kettle, toaster, fridge, stove, cutlery etc. We had no issues with this. Top tip, bring a bowl from home, the cereal bowls are tiny. We were in room 204 and there are extremely loud fans outside the room that run for 5-10 mins every hour. This became frustrating. There are plenty of loungers available for everyone and there is plenty of sun! My tip for the area is to go Tipsybee! Overall we had a lovely break away and we really enjoyed our holiday.
