Marina Bayview Gran Canaria - Adults Only

Terrible attitude by cleaners and frontline staff. Adult only hotel but no music, no entertainment and bar closes at 6pm. Refused late che kout despite the rooms either side of us being empty all week. The answer being that the cleaners refused as needed to clean. Then we got told it was the cleaners none working day but still refused. Awful customer service. Would never go back.

This has been one of the best holiday hotels we have stayed in ..very relaxed and the Terrace offered quiet atmosphere with a beautiful view over the Harbour . The room D107 was really lovely with bedroom and bathroom upstairs . Self catering facility great although we didn't use thf. much . Be mindful of the 147 steps ..yes I counted ..to get up and down from hotel. we enjoyed the excerise ...Taxi is 5 euros to get into town so very cheap. The only minor issue was having to run off water to get the shower hot but Hotel Maintence were on it within 15 minutes of asking .

Quiet hotel with good facilities. Excellent choice of restaurants at the bottom of the hill & decent supermarket. Enjoyed sitting on the sun terrace next to the jacuzzi as this was less busy than the pool area. Only issue was the smell from the drains in the room which we mentioned to the hotel staff. They fixed the air freshener dispenser in the bathroom but it didn't totally resolve the problem.

Arrived at hotel to find room wasn't ready we waited in the pool bar/restaurant which is close to reception. This was odd as hotel was fairly empty. The low occupancy was good as there were always sunbeds available anytime during the day. Room was very spacious and clean but the beds did move around alot during the night as they were on tile floors with no rubber feet. We chose bed and breakfast option. Breakfast choices were great, but all the hot food was very cold, which guests have mentioned and the hotel has acknowledged this, but still, the problem remains. The location is good be prepared to climb 100+ steps to get to harbour level.

MBV staff are amazing, the pool is immaculate and studio apartments clean. Bar food pricey but tasty. If you love lying in the sun this is absolutely the hotel for you because there is no shade around the pool. There are sun shades but they offer no shade as the shadow hits a few paces behind the beds and there was only one spot where you could reliably have shade throughout the day. Guests were reserving sunbeds and some not returning until 10/11am and the hotel did not enforce their own ‘do not reserve sunbeds rule’ So if you tan up nice and wanna boil like a lobster MBV is a fantastic hotel. Conveniently located, 10 min walk down 150 steps, through the tunnel to port and beach. Restaurants a plenty. Hands down best two meals we had were at Costa Grill Mar (port) and Happy Vally (shopping centre). Adult only hotel, was nice a quiet. You can also use amenities at sister hotel opposite that has an infinity pool and lots of families. Great to watch to watch the sunset from.
