BelAir Suites Pune

Had a 5 hours layover in Pune so decided to book this place to take a quick shower and freshen up. Upon reaching the place there was no one at the reception and there were some really shady looking people hanging around what seemed like a dark and dingy basement parking of a shady lodge rather than a reception of anything remotely offering a suite. Then someone who seemed like a security person turned up and just told me to go straight to the fourth floor after I handed my ID/address proof and said that "someone is waiting for me there", I was taken aback, I informed him that I want to check in and I have a reservation, that's when he said there's no room mentioned for you, even though I booked the same from their own website directly and I showed him the same. After a lot of convincing because he didn't undersatnd what a confirmation email means he reluctantly handed me their physical register to enter my details, this is when this person Ali got more and more aggressive going forward to a point where he theatened physical violence as he didn't like me being "demanding" while I was entering the details in their register reluctantly, I left from there immediately when other staff gathered in this commotion and it seemed like a bad idea in general to stay in such a place for my own safety. I called the number on the booking email, i informed the owner (that's what I was told by the person on the phone) about this crazy episode and he said he will look into it later as he was with some friends right now. NEVER AGAIN, stay away from this place for your own safety.
