Ky is the most delightful host and nothing was too much trouble for his guests. All he wants to do is give you the best experience during your stay. Ky's wife was in the hospital when we were there, but he still managed to cook great dinners, clean, host, and guide us. The rooms are basic, but very clean and comfortable. Super views over the valley. He will arrange trekking, scooter tours or car/driver, showing you unbelievable views and locations. We had our own car, but we would never have found them without his expertise. Thanks Kei, we had a great stay with you.

Notre rêve était de parcourir Mu Cang Chai durant 6 jours. Mr Ky, le patron du homestay, l'a organisé pour nous. Tout était parfait. Soeur Ha, une excellente guide, connaissait parfaitement le terrain, toujours d'humeur joyeuse et enthousiaste, était au petit soin pour nous. Que vouloir de plus !
Bien que ce n'était plus la saison du riz, le beauté du paysage et les rizières en friches était majestueux !

We had a great stay at this homestay, located in beautiful quiet surroundings. Kie is a lovely host, speaks good English and is very kind and helpful. It was a privilege to get to know him and his family and to discover the beauty of the nature around Mu Cang Chai. We also loved doing a trekking with him. We definitely recommend this homestay.

Mu Cang Chai is one the most beautiful places I have traveled to. We traveled in early October right when the rice fields were turning golden. As somebody that does not typically too crowded, it was perfect as even the most crowded and picturesque rice fields only had a max of 20-30 people. Ky is a wonderful host and he takes great care of all his guests. His English is very good, so it made communication very easy. I would highly recommend the motorcycle tours that he arranges (he personally took us one of the days), as they take you into remote areas that are inaccessible on foot that are gorgeous. His wife is a very good cook. My family is vegetarian and they were very accommodating and even offered to cook our meals first so that there was no chance of contamination which we were very grateful for. Rooms are clean and good. Beds as mentioned by others are hard. Highly recommended to both travel to MCC and to stay with Ky at Hmong’s Life Homestay.

Der Host war sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten bereits um 4Uhr morgens einchecken und auch die Fahrt von der Bushaltestelle zum Homestay wurde um diese Uhrzeit organisiert. Am Nächsten Tag führte er uns durch die sehr schönen Reisterassen und vermittelte uns umfangreiches Wissen über das Leben der Einheimischen. Eine Tour mit ihm ist ein Muss um die Gegend kennenzulernen. Auch im November sind die Reisterassen zu empfehlen.

Such a brilliant place to stay. Friendly staff, clean room, good food, very comfortable bed, very fresh air and beautiful nature. It's quite cheap compared to the servive and the facilities. The way to get to the homestay was not easy, but the staff was very helpful to give us a ride. We had a very good stay at this place. I would recomment it and stay again.

Nice place, where can I see the Hmong villages together from the top. A lot of mountains around the homestay it look like so amazing. The staff very nice also, it make me feeling like in my own house. Homestay also organized walking tours through the villages with the best beautiful and majestic terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai. That’s all of things I recommend you should to come here and experience.
