Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine - Adults Only All Inclusive

First of all, this is a hotel with truly impressive and immaculate gardens — so perfect and green that they hardly look natural. My brother and I stayed at the Aquamarine, which is a very beautiful property with an outstanding pool. In my opinion, it is the best pool in the entire complex, even better than those at Ámbar and other higher-category luxury hotels. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and there are many highlights, but also several areas of opportunity that could improve the guest experience. I will start with staff training. Anyone with a background in hospitality can easily notice that employees are not consistently trained in customer service. On many occasions, I approached staff members (sometimes even groups of them), and they continued their personal conversations until they were finished, only then turning to assist me. From my perspective, proper standards of customer service mean that as soon as a guest makes eye contact or approaches, they should be acknowledged immediately, putting aside all distractions. We visited the Japanese restaurant one evening. The show was excellent, and the food was good, but the space had an unpleasant odor of fuel, moisture, and sewage from the moment the doors opened. The wooden floor also appeared to be in poor condition and deteriorating. The weakest point of the hotel, in my opinion, is the lack of consistent customer service training. Staff are generally friendly but often prioritize their own tasks or conversations before assisting guests. In some areas, staff seemed tired or disengaged, and the warmth and natural friendliness that usually distinguishes Dominican hospitality felt less evident compared to my past visits. That said, there were positive exceptions: at the Aquario restaurant (Aquamarine buffet), staff were cheerful, attentive, and highly service-oriented, making the experience excellent. Juana was excellent. She went above and below to provide us with a pleasant experience while maintaining professionalism.  At the Italian restaurant, we also found the staff to be exceptionally polite and professional. At Aquamarine reception (the main one, not the one where you arrive), I noticed some inconsistencies as well. When I asked for directions to a restaurant, several new employees pointed vaguely after finishing their own conversation, leaving me to figure it out. Fortunately, a senior staff member (possibly a manager) stepped out from behind the desk and personally guided me, which was very much appreciated and an example of excellent service. One particularly negative experience was with the shuttle service at the complex. An older driver treated us rudely on more than one occasion. Once, after we were directed to catch the L1 shuttle that takes you to the main gate, he refused to stop even as we ran after it, leaving us embarrassed in front of other guests. Another time, returning from an excursion, we were at the main gate with a Hindu Family with a child that he ignored even

The good: Pool is huge, plenty of room to spread out and get further away from the music/ busy area near the bar if you want a break. The gym was great, I was impressed by how well equipped it was. We had a great couple's massage in the spa. The mini bar in our room was always well stocked with water, and the room was always clean. The fine: Drinks and service were fine, nothing special. The room was large, but it was weirdly laid out so there was a lot of just empty space. The hotel complex is also huge and the signs aren't very well spaced out, so we got lost a few times. The bad: There are no places to plug anything in in the rooms. There were two already used sockets (for the coffee maker and the mini fridge) that were across the room from the bed. This wouldn't be a big deal if all we had to plug in was our phones, but we had a CPAP to plug in. When we asked if there were any extension cords or anything to help, they said they would pass the request on to engineering, and we never heard back again. The food was just...edible. Things were either not seasoned well, or way too salty. Nothing really stuck out as great or even good food. All the desserts just tasted like generic cafeteria desserts.

I had a wonderful holiday at the Aquamarine Hotel A huge shout-out to the buffet team — Yulisa, Deneiry, Alberto, Luis, Edwin, Francis, and a few others — for their impeccable service and for always taking such great care of my mum and me. You truly made our stay extra special. I’d also like to give credit to the gym team — very pleasant and welcoming. The gym itself is nice, clean, and has a good range of equipment. Thank you all for making our holiday so enjoyable! 🌟

4e séjour à ce merveilleux endroit. J'y ai passé 3 semaines extraordinaires. Ma chambre était comme d'habitude superbe avec vue sur la piscine. Les restaurants A la carte que j'ai visités (Il Capriccio, Rodizio, Takara, Maiko, y otro) étaient tous excellents. J'ai été traitée comme une reine. Tous étaient A l'écoute de mes besoins et se sont assurés que tout soit parfait. Parlons animation 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Walter s'assure que tout soit parfait pour satisfaire les clients. Il a aussi été mon paparazzi 😂😂 il s'est occupé de prendre des clichés de moi sans que je m'en aperçoive 😍. M'a fait danser pour que je sois heureuse. Ledy : a remplacé Walter lors de son congé haut la main. Il s'est chargé de l'animation. Gabriel: Je l'ai connu l'an dernier mais cette année, Que dire.....WOWWWWW animateur extraordinaire. Son charisme et son professionnalisme font de lui une personne attachante. M'a fait danser comme jamais. José: Connu aussi l'an dernier. Mais cette année lui aussi un gros WOWWWWW. Avec lui pas moyen de rester tranquille 😂😂😂 que ce soit pour les activités durant le jour où le soir impossible de rester assise. Merengue et bachata a profusion. Comme j'aime. Ray: le plus petit des animateurs 😂😂😂 je blague. S'assure que chaque client se sente bien. En soirée nous invite à danser pour nous dégourdir. Obleny: Elle en a fait du chemin depuis l'an passé. Tellement que je ne l'avais pas reconnue😂😂😂. Avec elle pas question de ne pas participer aux activités. Le soir elle s'assure de faire danser les clients afin de leur faire passer un bon moment. Rosanyeli: Avec elle, le mot tranquilité n'existe pas. Que ce soit pour les activités ou pour les soirs elle est toujours dévouée à vous faire bouger. Luis: L'expert en aqua zumba et aqua gym. Je l'ai vu à plusieurs reprises rassembler les gens à la piscine et faire lever l'atmosphère...une chance que ça se passe dans l'eau pour les clients🤣🤣 car avec la chaleur intense oufff🥵🥵🥵🥵 Isaac: toujours aussi charmant que les années antérieures. Toujours aussi près des clients. Félix: spécialiste du gym, charmant sait aussi plaire a la gente féminine 😉. Parlons maintenant des bars: Celui de la piscine: Christopher a su rendre mon séjour magnifique avec son excellent service. Pas le temps de sortir de la piscine que mon prochain drinks arrivait. Pour ce qui est de: Luis, Smerlin, Rico, Juan et les autres qui y travaillent. Tous se démènent pour satisfaire chaque clients afin de leur faire déguster d'excellents drinks. Que ce soit pour la bière, les coco loco, banana mamá, piña colada, la mamajuana etc. Ces personnes travaillent fort et méritent tout notre respect. Celui du lobby: Luis, Berlín et Andy sont ceux que j'ai côtoyé les soirs. Attentionnés, ils s'assurent que vous soyez satisfaits de vos consommations. Ils arborent tous leur plus beaux sourire pour vous faire sentir bien. Oriana et Birna sont des amies qui s'occupent de vous apporter vos breuvages dans le lobby et à la terrasse elles sont

Par où commencer...Nous faisons 2 resort par année et celui-ci est de très loin le pire que nous avons fait. Premièrement à notre arrivée, le lobby est très petit. Il n'y a pas l'effet grandiose ou "wow" que l'on retrouve habituellement. À notre arrivée à la chambre, le mini bar n'était pas rempli et surprise: infestation de fourmis! le séchoir ne fonctionnait pas. La partie de plage réservé aux client du Aquamarine n'est pas la plus belle et est très petite. L'ensemble des restaurants à la carte sont "correct". Le buffet est pitoyable . Très petit, très peu de choix et très redondant. Ma conjointe a été hospitalisé 24 heures suite à des petites piqures qui ont fait des plaques partout sur son corps. Pour ma part, j'ai été malade 3 jours. Bref, plus jamais dans cette chaine!
