"The property is quite new, clean and very comfortable. The host is very friendly and arranged his driver to pick me from the airport at a nominal cost. He even helped me with my train ticket booking online and dropped at the train station as well. My experience in Gautam Homestay was quite nice. I would rate their service as a 5 star service."

"In February, we stayed at the hotel with our children. We have traveled to many places before, but we truly felt wonderful here. Praveen fulfilled all our wishes and made our vacation even more special. Mr. Devaka, the naturalist guide, organized amazing excursions for us. We stayed in a villa at the hotel, which was huge and met all our needs. The massage helped us forget all our worries. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyon"

"Absolute disappointment do not recommend at all. Bedsheets looked like they hadn’t been changed for months with dirt and stains everywhere. We were itching the whole night to the point we had to take something for it. The shower had cobwebs and a stench coming from it. There wasn’t even a mirror let alone a dustbin in the room for the price- which was a very large amount due to the new years season- we were paying for it. The way the staff spoke to us didn’t make us feel like we were paying guests. The food was tasteless, and at one point served us what was left of the buffet because there wasn’t enough food which is not right because we were paying for all three meals. Overall an extremely bad experience and total waste of both time and money. Do not recommend at ALL."

"A truely amazing experience made perfect by the wonderful team. We stayed for 4 nights and could not find fault. The food was excellent and the staff could not have done more for us. We had a dolphin watching trip and a reef fishing trip where we caught baracuda which was expertly prepared for us that evening for supper. The beach cabana was clean and comfortabl"

"We spent 2 nights with our 3 children in the family bungalow. The full resort, as well as our rooms in particular, are very well integrated into the trees, we really felt part of the nature. For breakfasts and dinners we had a very good introduction to the sri lankan cuisine. Not being kitesurfers, we enjoyed visiting the village and the beach, we could have stayed much longer. Well done to Sudath and his team for making this place so welcoming !"

"I was at Suriya Resort for Friday before my flight to Bangkok. I checked in Friday Late evening Front Office staff very helpful. I enjoy the pool after busy day at office & had some chill beers. Since I was in BB Basis I order a Mix Fried Rice from the al-carte menu. Food I had was delicious and well prepared. F&B staff very friendley & knowldgeble on dishes. It was very short saty but very relaxing stay before my flight. Will come back for sure again."

"The place was nice and homely…very good service by the staff! And the beach is very close by too…their food is good too and I would especially recommend their batter-fried cuttlefish/seafood dishes. One let down was that the wifi did not work and TV works with wifi so we had a terrible time with the connection"
