"Very good hotel"

"We are bi monthly visitors at Puttaparthi, sometimes monthly & stay in Deluxe Room #464 at Sai Pavillion for a past 7 years. Direct booking ensures 24 hrs check in as per their website. On our last visit on August 23-24, I was informed that check in is at 2pm. However early check in is possible only if the room is vacant. Fair enough I felt. We usually arrive around 8am & leave at 7.30-8am the next day.Their hospitality had a home away from home feel so we were frequent guests. So I readily agreed & made my next booking for 4th Nov. Meanwhile I made a whatsap booking early this week & decided to come in September too. " noted mam" came the prompt reply. We were in for a shock this morning when I sent a msg 40 mins arriving to ask where I should collect my room keys ( service is slow & slack in the morning but I was used to it) - 10 mins before reaching I recvd a msg, check in 2pm! We were at their door step. The front desk staff at Sai Towers blankly stated I was welcome to go else where or pay additional day room charge but check in was not possible! Deluxe rooms & regular rooms were available & hotel gaping empty.i asked for Manager Srinivas. He was on leave.Even the smallest or the top notch hotels in India or globally do not behave this way. The housekeeping staff & security boys who were familiar with us, stood gaping & aghast. We decided to leave & check in to our old place, Sai Sadan. We had changed to Sai Pavillion ( Extension Sai Towers) since my mobility issues. Anyway, we were given a hearty welcome by Sai Sadan. It felt good to be back & wanted. The hotel business needs training & hospitality ulture. This was simply shocking & distasteful."
