Steigenberger Resort Alaya Marsa Alam – Red Sea

We are in the hotel for 10 days. Just like before, the hotel remains top. I really can only only positive comments and there is even more attention paid to details, such as the nice glasses to use at the pool. I am not an easy person when it comes to hotels until next time.

We have been to quite a few 5-star-resorts around the world - and this one really is tip of the top. Maintenance, service, food, friendlies of each and every member of the staff ... There is a reason why most of the customers are returning guests. We really appreciated the quiet and polite atmosphere (no excessive day drinking, music by the main pool only during aqua gym at noon). I highly recommend this place to people who like to spend time in a beautiful, high quality environment with kind, well behaved people. And I specifically have to mention our wonderful housekeeping-artist, Mr Mahmoud ❤️ You made our vacation special.

This resort was lovely and very clean. We stayed in many places while touring Egypt for a month and this was by far my favorite! You can find other places that are nice with similar amenities but they take it to another level with their staff. They arent just well staffed w peple who do their jobs but they were very kind, friendly and funny. They always took a moment to chat and see how we were doing. They all seem to enjoy working there and it is reflected in how they interact with the guests! Some highlights include: upgraded wifi Comfortable and clean rooms w comfortable beds. A great variety of quality food that changed daily. A well designed layout of the property w several pools including a heated pool. Laundry service. Most of all it was the staff! It wouldn't have been as much fun if they were cold and just efficient. I'm not sure if it's corporate values or a really good manager but they managed to hire the very best staff to make this property stand out!

A beautiful and very well maintained resort with lots of great amenities and very friendly staff. The room was spacious, clean, with a view of the pools. Food was diverse enough for a one-week stay, which is an achievement for an all-inclusive place. All-inclusive covered food in various restaurants and drinks in restaurants, at the bar, and at the pools. Some cocktails were included, so there was no need to go to the (overpriced) a la carte menu. Staying at the hotel allows you to use one of the specialty restaurants once. That was sufficient in my view. The restaurants operate with a dress code, and pretty much everybody adheres to it (long pants in the evening). Snorkeling is possible from the sea-side pier, but a bit limited. Contrary to other reports, WiFi was really good and sufficient to stream TV or have video calls. There were quite a few German & Swiss tourists, and not all of them lived up to the classiness of the resort. Throughout the day staff provides for animation (aqua gym in the pool, volleyball, etc.), which was not our cup of tea but was not too bothersome either. Two pieces of advice: Fly to / from Marsa Alam airport (this saves you a lengthy transfer compared to Hurghada) and do not pay extra for the ground floor rooms with access to their semi-private pools (not worth it, in my opinion). Great place and happy to return for a few relaxing days

I was very well impressed with this property. It had an ambiance of elegance that was very pleasing to the eye. The rooms gave you a great feeling of welcome for vacation. The balcony was pleasing and comfortable. The view was awesome. The dining area was very welcoming. The service was very professional. There was a great variety of food, but I felt that the cooks could use more experience in cooking; some of the meats were very dry and overcooked. But an awesome authentic variety of food. The entertainment was very professional and pleasing to the eye and with great variety. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. It's a place of relaxation and be comfortable I will sure be glad to visit again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was delicious with a wide variety, and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The beach was beautiful and the pools were clean and relaxing. Definitely one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. I would love to come back again!
