The staff here are amazing, nothing too much trouble, fabulous food choice, and variety of a la carte restaurants which I enjoyed. Indian cooked by Indian and the Thai food is cooked by Thai gentleman both were lovely, my room whilst not refurbed was clean and had a wonderful view of the sea and pool and a perfect spot, rooms have fridges with water, kettle and everything you need. Hand wash by the sink, shower gel and shampoo in the shower, the shampoo was lovely and didn’t ***** the colour out of my hair like most hotel shampoos. Ahmed at the relax pool looked after me everyday day ensuring I was ok and replenished with drinks, Had three massages as I was there for two weeks by the wonderful Nada, you must try the cleopatra scrub not like ours in the UK and left the skin like silk, I had one the day I left as late as possible and washed it off in the room before I travelled home, absolutely no dry sky or peeling and I’ve been back a week! There was pancakes.waffles and creams in the afternoon, there is so much like eight swimming pools, the snorkelling is great by the sea, loved the beach bar and food there. It was my first time in Egypt and definitely not my last, I’m going back either in July or September as I want to do more diving. I’d also like to thank Naseem and the whole team for a wonderful time and I was solo .. no issues…feel free to ask questions, my only word of warning is the hotel has a lot of steps and is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

I believe a hotel is measured by its staff. The staff are amazing! Every area of the hotel has staff that cannot do enough for you. They are friendly, and helpful and we had a great week getting to know everyone. This is a very nice hotel with so many pools you are never short of a sunbed. Most days there were only a couple of other people in our pool as there are so many to choose from. The view across the ocean is stunning and the lounge and foyer is beautifully decorated. Special mention to Mohamed in the crepe bar and the Mike Tyson lookalike in the bar over the sea, both were so lovely and the breakfast staff were also so helpful. Every member of staff should be congratulated on their customer service. The bar staff were brilliant but the only downside was the cocktails were not made to the standard we are used to in the UK. Having said that, this holiday was super value for money. The food was varied and plentiful and you could eat at so many different restaurants. We thought the buffet food was very good and would definitely return to this hotel

*Pros:* - The hotel is beautiful and spacious. - The staff are wonderful. - The food is very diverse, delicious, and tasty. - Many thanks to Chef Abdel Salam and his team for their exceptional and respectful service. - Room service (Akram) was polite, kind, and trustworthy. - Special thanks to Chef Abdel Salam , Abdo, Walid, Mahmoud, and Walid from Fusion Restaurant for making our stay special with their warm and caring attitude — we truly felt at home with them. - We greatly appreciate the beach staff (Khaled, Mohamed Abdo, Mahmoud Metwally) for their kind service. *Cons:* - We requested to Mr. Karim to change the room but no response and also we asked him to change the fridge several times because the fridge was broken, but it was never replaced. - There are no golf carts available for transportation within the hotel. Given the hotel’s large size and the presence of elderly guests or those with health conditions, it was difficult to move around the resort. For example, once we went down to the beach, we couldn’t easily come back up, or once we went up to the room, it was hard to go back down due to the long distances. This was a major inconvenience. - Seeing the staff carrying heavy items and equipment manually was upsetting. Having transportation or lifting aids would make things much easier and more comfortable for them. - wi-fi is only available in the lobby

Some rooms are renovated, some are not. But still.. beautiful hotel, friendly staff, many pools and restaurants. Good cocktails at bars. Food is amazing.. you can buy snorkeling gear at near by shops and look amazing corals and colorful fish everyday if you want! If you keep in mind that it is africa and not luxury resort you will be good and happy! Its best for adults or older kids because there is no waterslides. But me and my frined enjoyed that there is more relaxed vibe. Defenetly not a party hotel. There are entertainment if you want and also you can find quiet areas to relax

It was a long family vacation after a long time. We spent more than 9 days at the Hotel with family and met some frıends there. Due to online booking, we were given a new family room. It was not very big, but it was enough with two rooms for a holiday. Compared to many hotels and experienced, topical all-inclusive with open buffet foods which was reasonable due to what we paid. Many outlets are opened and closed at different time schedules. Our kids enjoyed the pool mostly while we were on the beach. The hotel was busy and many staff al around working hard and trying to give service even could not speak English, but OK. We had some daily trips like an island tour, a submarine tour, and a desert tour. If you give some tips, the staff will take care of you:) We believe in the value of money according to what we paid and thank you for your service. We will be here again at the end of the season.

3.5* Emily Joan Smith Rating Overall: I would go back if it wasn’t for the mosquitos, if they had more places to chill in the evening and if the food wasn’t so samey. Pros: Staff - All the staff were extremely kind and helpful. They really went out their way to make you feel special. Prompt Response - we had a quite a few problems with our standard room before they upgraded us to a deluxe room. However, every problem was responded to promptly even if it wasn’t a permanent fix. Pool Choice - Mum liked that there were lots of pools and each pool was different in height. The Sea - the hotel was by the sea and you could see glimpses of it whilst walking up and down the stairs of the complex. (However it wasn’t so easy to get in the water once you were at the beach). Weather - I went end of may - early April. Weather was beautiful. 28 - 32 degrees. In all honesty it was getting too hot for me at some points. (Dip in the pool lots/ drink water) Fusion Restaurant - the best place to eat in the hotel. Other a la carte restaurants you had to pay extra for drinks. Sunday Evening - The best night for entertainment, the hotel outsource entertainment and organises a meal on the beach. (This is extra and you have to pay for it). Transfer - Only like 20 mins away! Cons: WiFi - only free in the Lobby but really patchy and didn’t work very well. We bought WiFi so we could use it around the complex. However it was still dodgy and had to log on every 5 minutes. A la carte restaurants - most of the a la carte restaurants you had to pay extra for your drinks. Which I found very very odd as it’s an all inclusive restaurant. The Italian food wasn’t that great either. Food - Very samey. However every person I spoke to at the airport felt the same way about their hotel food. Evening Entertainment - although the entertainment staff are lovely, I felt there was limited/ good entertainment. This could be because we were the only English and didn’t really know what was going on, but also the entertainment there was extremely loud and if you wanted just to chill, there wasn’t many places to sit in the evening. Construction: SO much construction work happening all over the hotel. Lobby bar - not all bars had all inclusive drinks. The lobby bar was not included in all inclusive. Massages - Not good, didn’t rate them. In small hut like spaces, with no privacy. Beach - not a walk into the water beach. Was on a rock cliff and have to get a jetty into the water. Mosquitos - LOADS! We got bitten alive!!

Hotel The grand is a great choice for not only families and couples but also friend groups. They have many different activities during the day such as African dancing and team games. And I can tell you if you want to learn how to dance, the boys from the In Motion team have the moves and what it takes to help you learn dancing. The food from my opinion was good, the cheeseburgers were amazing I will admit that. If you want to eat at one of the hotels special restaurants such as Thai or Italian you must talk to Mousa. He is a funny and helpful man and will definitely help you find what you need. If you decide to come here be nice to every employee, they deserve it.
