We stayed here for two weeks, first impressions were good. Although there were a few issues that stood out from the start, First off, there's absolutely no WiFi unless you pay, either for a WiFi card £10 per week per device. Or pay for the offered supreme upgrade of £10 per day (which we didn't do) once on the WIfi it was on and off the entire time, but when onnit worked well and had good speeds. On check in you will be given towel cards. Dont lose them as they will charge you $10 per card on check out and make sure you get a towel card for each person in the room. I was given two at check in, but told on checkout I had been given three. Most of the staff are nice, the go out their way to help you. There is on individual that works in the main buffet to the right side when you go in for breakfast. He is over nice and hounds you for tips constantly... he will do everything right, but then hover around you, he made us feel uncomfortable from day one, so much so, that we stopped visiting after the first week. He become rude when tips weren't given. The room we stayed in was very dated and in poor condition. The shower was falling apart ontop of a few other issues. Our cleaner was very good and looked after our room. My advice for this entire hotel would be to have some cash ready after the first day, and if you plan on having a better stay give the people at the bars and pool tips 200E£ goes along way here. Just give them one every other day and they will bring you drinks to your seat, in bigger plastic cups and look after you alot more. The place is absolutely full of mosquitoes, especially in the reception area. If you are susceptible to bites. Beware of this. The locals snd staff dont see it as an issue but for some it can ruin a holiday. Speak to your cleaner and ask him for a bottle of mosquito spray for your room. Spray it before you leave for the day. And dont leave the doors/balcony open.. The food was hit and miss at the buffet and if you want to book in a restaurant, you need to via the regency plaza app. This has to be done 24hrs in advance. In the alacarte restaurants the food is free but alcohol isnt. With the exception of the fish restaurant, where the food is also charged. Theres a taxi service counter in reception. This is nothing more than a tourist trap. Do not book with them, they will charge you 5X more for a taxi than you can actually get here. And im not exaggerating. For instance. A return taxi from this hotel to soho square was £15 from the booth in reception. If you find a app call "indrive" on the playstore. This is what the locals use. Is basically their version of Uber.. Same sevice but we got a return taxi with them for £4. Just message the driver on the app with your name and room number. They will get you from reception.. Great app when you get your head around it. In closing, everyone wants your money. And they will rip you off if you arent a local. Head down to the local petrol station if
