The restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful but front desk service should be improved. The location is very convenient. You will enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. The breakfast and dinner are mixed with Chinese and western food.

Convenient Location, directly above a large shopping mall with a good variety of shopping and food & beverage options. The hotel and mall are directly linked through the 4th floor, though it is closed outside of the mall operating hours. Room was clean and toiletries were nice! Overall a nice and comfortable stay.

Very pleasant stay experience, the price is high for this price! Clean, good service, complete facilities, convenient transportation, the first hotel after getting off the highway. Not far from Beidaihe, 15 minutes drive. The breakfast is very rich, the overall stay does not feel like a chain hotel, it can reach the four-star standard. Recommended!

A true 5 Star experience. The room is top notch with a large window overlooking the sea. Service is outstanding in all categories. Breakfast is full and rich. The hotel dinner buffet is so extraordinary that I say you must try it at least once! We were amazed at the variety of dishes and the quality. Hotel location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk and you can have your feet in the sand or water. The Qinhuang Alley Food Street is also within walking distance or very short cab ride. This food street is very lively and fun to visit especially in the evening. Two other recommendations for things to do are Lao Long Tou (Old Dragon Head) which you can get to by cab. And if you are a fan of the Olympics you really should visit Olympic Avenue Park. Amazing relief sculpture wall over 300 meters long portraying Olympic history. Must be seen to be believed. Thank you to all the friendly and professional staff and chefs at Grand Hotel Qinhuang for making our 4 night stay so enjoyable. Qinhuangdao is a wonderful city with so many different things to do and experience we hope we can return again.

Booked two days from Ctrip.com. When we checked in at less than five in the afternoon, the elevator was under maintenance. We climbed the stairs to the fourth floor. We thought the environment was OK, the sanitary conditions were OK, and the facilities were relatively new, so we didn't mind staying there. Then we went out with the children and went back at about 9:40 in the evening. Because we were tired after running outside all day, we were ready to wash and rest. As a result, the water flowing out of the faucet was red and yellow, mixed with mud. I called the front desk twice before a young man came and said he would deal with it immediately. I kept draining the water from the room, but the water quality didn't change. I called the front desk again and they replied that they would change our room to the front floor. After that, no one paid attention to us anymore. I felt that the service of this hotel was average, the breakfast was average, and there were not many varieties. In short, I felt that it was not worth the high price. The first picture attached is the water quality at the beginning, and the next one is half an hour after draining the water.

Behind the hotel, there's a large supermarket, making it incredibly convenient to pick up anything we needed. Choosing to stay at the University Town Mercure Hotel in Haigang District this time was definitely the right call. Getting a taxi to go anywhere was super convenient, and it even felt like tourists had priority! A big thumbs up to Qinhuangdao's cultural and tourism department! When traveling as a family, safety and comfort are paramount. We originally considered a guesthouse, but after weighing all factors, especially with a child, a hotel was definitely the better choice. Next time we visit Qinhuangdao, we will certainly head straight for Mercure again!

The room is generally good, but it feels a little small and does not match the 36 square meters. The bath water in the bathroom is okay, but the drain is too blocked. After taking a shower, water flows all over the room. Besides, there is a cabinet opposite the bed. The clothes are made very narrow and have to be placed sideways or crookedly. There is actually a light inside, but the light will not go out automatically when the cabinet is turned off. There is no separate switch setting. The lights in the cabinet follow the gaps in the cabinet. I stayed up all night with my bed in front of me, and I couldn't sleep at all. It's not easy for everyone to find customer service in the middle of the night, and I'm afraid of waking up my family. I hope something can be changed, otherwise I really don't recommend it.
