Smy Sighientu Thalasso & Spa Sardegna

I am writing this review from my superb room 2206 on the massive terrace watching the sea . This hotel is everything you hope for . Super clean, room slick and comfortable, hotel really good quality for value and very commodity compacts and easy to reach . Food is fresh and plentiful, drinks are good quality but mainly fhis hotel stands out because of the team ., every one so welcoming and professional, they cannot do enough to satisfy you and make your stay memorable. A very pleasant resort, clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly staff. There were enough sun beds whole day both at the beach and at the pool. Not many restaurants nearby, it is better to have also dinner or all inclusive, food is very good. But all inclusive drinks are unfortunatelly terrible. The animation group was excellent, they organized all kinds sports and games during the day , they were very friendly and apparently liked their job. Much better compared to animation teams in other hotels which we have expirienced.

2-3 star food - remote location and no choice of shops & restaurant for lunch - if half board option Staff friendly and generally clean, but dated very 1980s in decor and not in touch with the current tourist / traveller requirement's. I don’t think the hotel warrants a 4 star status due to the limited basic food provided Definitely a 3 star at best, I think the spa and pool pictures gives the impression of quality but dated and shabby now

There are some wonderful things about this hotel. The pool area is fantastic and very child friendly. My son loved the playground area and the little petting zoo. The beach access was good and we never struggled for sun loungers anywhere. The gym is good and has modern equipment and whenever we visited it wasn't over crowded. There are also some great restaurants a short drive away for those on B&B. The hotel is also a great distance from Cagliari and the airport. We also loved the eco friendly initiatives like the provision of water bottles and free water. Unfortunately though this hotel leaves a lot to be desired and my biggest complaint is with the staff. For a 4 star hotel, staff have got to be friendlier. Staff didn't speak to you unless you spoke to them, there were not enough staff in the restaurant which meant plates/bowls/cups ended up stacked on our table every day. The animation team sat around cross legged on counters on their phones and perhaps most concerning, more often than not the lifeguards sat together with their backs to the pool on their phones or chatting. More than one member or staff rolled their eyes at us. That being said, we found the front desk team to be really friendly and also the cleaning staff. The rooms need refreshing, the bathrooms are crowded and not big enough and our bedding didn't get changed for our whole stay despite being dirty. They did have great storage though. We were only bed and breakfast and to be honest I'm glad as we ate at the buffet once for dinner and found it to be severely lacking in choice. The food tasted good but I would be bored after more than a few days. The breakfast choice was the same every day. All in all, we had a pleasant stay at Sighientu and our family made some lovely memories there, there's just a lot of potential for it to be improved.

The best part: pool!!! Lots of sunbeds! 4 nights stay...I booked this hotel for a family break whilst exploring different areas in Sardina. One of the feature is its own beach, which was very disappointing. Full of seaweeds and stoney. Parking: outside the hotel and an overflow area. Rooms: booked 2 rooms, 1 for me and my husband and 1 for our adult boys. Our room was on 3rd floor, which were spacious but lack useful furnitures. The digital lock did not work so normal key to use which sounds loud. A phone which supposed to be used to call reception did not work either. There's small smelly fridge and a safe. On the plus side, there's a huge lounge area outside the few rooms and a huge terrace area but only enjoyable in the evenings as too hot during the daytime. Boys room was in 2nd floor which is smaller than ours and smelled unpleasant. Has a bath tub. Ants in some areas of both rooms. The housekeeping lady gave me a bottle of antspray... sorted! No kettles in rooms and ac has only one temperature setting. Breakfast: We only booked the breakfast and not opted for all-inclusive as we planned to try different restaurants in evenings. Buffet Breakfast choice is the same everyday. Not the best quality but a nice coffee bar with barista made up up for the poor quality food available. There were fruits available both fresh and from tins. Juices from machine ( watery or sugary). There was always something to fill you up like yoghurts, cakes eggs and bacons etc. Same restaurant is used for lunch and dinner. Pool area: Entertainment around the pool except lunchtime- 15.00. Pool size is very good and clean. The pool bar is attached to the pizza restaurant ( only open at dinner). That's only bar that serves the whole hotel. Quite expensive for drinks and snacks. Spa area: costs extra 20 eur per 2 hrs ( indoor pool and a smaller pool outside the gym). Reception: Helpful receptionist. No bar just a water station. There are no machines to get softdrinks or coffees after 12 midnight. Restaurants in the area: Victory... next to hotel. It serves local dishes, mostly seafood. Nice dishes but slightly pricey. Mammai's... abot 10-12 mins walk located by the main road, also a seafood restaurant. Green Pizzeria by the main road is the same distance. Mini COOP next to Mammai's about 8 mins walk. Good place to get snacks and drinks from. It's 30 mins drive to Cagliari; 15 mins drive to Poetto which has nice long beach and close to McDonalds. There are few nice beaches nearby. But you would need a car. Villasimius is about 45 mins away by car. There are buses both to Cagliari and Villasimius from outside mini Coop. Always check your booking as this hotel charge compulsory fees for using towels, gym, main pool, to be paid on check-in. You are given a watch-like bracelet to use when paying for something in the hotel like drinks, etc. Overall, this hotel is in a nice setting, by a marina but is definitely in a 3 star standard.

Comfortable Rooms with Balcony: The room was cozy, complete with a nice balcony. The bed comfortable and linens good quality. ‍♂️ Beautiful Pool: the pool is stunning ‍♀️ Thalasso Therapy Spa: The spa stole the show! and the staff particularly Giovanni was very helpful It has an entrance fee but that makes for a better and less crowded experience Enrico deserves a special shout-out for exceptional service. Kudos to the unnamed donna who generously shared her hand cream! Andreas and Patrizia wee also helpful as were the entire front desk staff. Wi-Fi Woes: The unstable Wi-Fi was a major downside. Definitely an area for improvement. experience. ️ Dining Notes: While the resort’s restaurant and staff could improve, the Victory next door is a delightful alternative. Breakfast is promptly shut off at 10, without even access to coffee. Dinner is only buffet
