Crystals Beach Resort Belle Mare, a member of Radisson Individuals

I went to stay at the hotel on the 21st June thinking it will be a 4 star hotel with outstanding services. However,the hotel did not meet my expectations and some other visitors also complained about the services. The employees were very nice and friendly and the room was nice and clean. We got a tea time break after check-in which included pancake with a strange homemade chocolate sauce which was not good, bajja/marinade with chutney which was nice, and a dry cake. The milk used in the hot chocolate was strange. One main reason we booked this hotel during winter season was because it mentioned to have a HEATED POOL and when we went for the pool, it was extreme cold and other visitors there complained about it. When we told the guy near the pool to fix it, it was never fixed. Instead on our check out they told us that it is a solar system heated pool and it would have been better to mention that to guest on the package details. For dinner and lunch considering it is a 4 star hotel, we got 'macaroni' in different version for both meals which was not impressive. The dinner and lunch were similar even if the lunch was dressed to be Asian style, there was nothing related to Asian cuisine. However the breakfast was very good with many varieties. The drinks also were very good with different flavours. All the waiters took care of us very nicely. The hotel was very clean. Maybe more lightning should be implemented in the hotel at night since it is difficult to locate our room when coming from the restaurant after dinner. We also went for glass bottom which was not that appealing neither to Mauritian nor to tourists since there no barely any fish in the sea or other creatures. We eventually spent time at the aqualand which was very interesting and all the people there were very informative and the equipments were enough..

The staff at the reception mainly Mr Aman and Miss Vanshika. Restaurant Mr Jay and Mrs Jameeta, and bar Mr Jean Pierre were exceptional throughout my visit. From the warm welcome at reception to the attentive service in the restaurant and the friendly atmosphere at the bar, every team member went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. They were professional, courteous, and always ready to assist with a smile. The reception team made check-in smooth and efficient, the restaurant staff provided outstanding service and delicious recommendations, and the bartenders were skilled and engaging. Their hospitality truly elevated my stay, and I highly commend them for their excellent service and dedication.
