Dadulin Resort

The room amenities were perfectly aligned with the hotel's class, particularly the coffee machine and sound system at the in-room bar, and the quality bathroom toiletries. Overall, the experience was excellent, though a few minor details could be improved further. The staff offered service with a smile and were consistently polite in their interactions. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

This was my second visit, and unfortunately, the experience was far worse than expected! We had booked a cliff house priced at over 2000 per night, full of anticipation. However, upon entering the room, we were immediately hit by a strong, damp, musty smell. What followed was even worse: we spotted a large cockroach crawling on the curtains. We immediately contacted the front desk for help, but after waiting for over half an hour, no one showed up. Frustrated, we had to call Ctrip customer service to explain the situation and demand a room change. Ctrip assured us they would contact the hotel to resolve it. A while later, a staff member from Dadulin arrived, carrying a tea diffuser, suggesting it would help dissipate the smell. He couldn't find the cockroach and simply left, saying 'this is how it is for now'. Even after trying to air out the room, there was no improvement; the strong moldy smell persisted every time we entered. Then, we discovered that all the wooden panels on the bedside tables were completely covered in mold. No wonder the entire room smelled so terrible! Breathing in such air, especially with a child, was definitely unhealthy. To make matters worse, we then found a small gecko on the floor, which my husband immediately stepped on and killed out of shock. This whole experience was just horrendous and utterly unacceptable for a room costing 2000 yuan a night! I contacted Ctrip again, adamantly demanding a room change. It was clear there were other rooms available, specifically a wooden cabin of the same price, yet initially, they wouldn't arrange an immediate switch. Only after our strong insistence did they eventually send staff to move us to another room. When the staff arrived and saw the dead gecko on the floor, they actually smiled faintly and said, 'Oh, we're quite used to seeing these small bugs.' (Seriously?!) Are we paying 2000+ yuan a night for this? Are you seriously telling me it's normal to have bugs in a room at this price point? Isn't basic cleanliness the absolute minimum expectation? After we moved to the wooden cabin, the staff then asked if we had consumed anything from the minibar in the previous room. We mentioned we'd had a pack of 'Wuqiong chicken legs,' and they immediately took a pack of chicken legs from the minibar of our new room. This small detail was incredibly petty and irritating. We'd just paid over 2000 yuan for a night; are they really concerned about a few dollars' worth of chicken legs? There was absolutely no apology or genuine effort to resolve our issues! Dadulin charges prices comparable to a five-star hotel in a major city, yet its facilities and staff training are clearly subpar. They seriously need to step up their game!

The front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a Deluxe King Room, which was a wonderful surprise! Everything else was excellent too. The food was particularly delicious and tasted very similar to Shantou cuisine; both breakfast and the late-night supper were incredibly satisfying. Cleanliness was also top-notch, and the tea in the room was so good! I'd even suggest they offer it for sale by weight. The swimming pool definitely deserves a special mention – it was clean and uncrowded. Even after a day of sunshine, the water was warm, so the cooler weather wasn't an issue. Plus, there's a 0.6m deep pool perfect for kids to splash in. Fishing was great too! As a complete beginner, I still managed to catch two fish, which felt like a real accomplishment!

Our stay at Dadulin Manor was an excellent leisure and relaxation experience! First and foremost, a big thank thank you to the hotel for our room upgrade! The property boasts elegant design, and all facilities are wonderfully comfortable. The complimentary afternoon tea offered a wonderfully relaxed ambiance, and the herbal bath was perfect for unwinding and melting away stress. The Five-Element meals were exquisite and delicious. Service was consistently attentive and thoughtful, and every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and helpful. It's truly an ideal spot for gathering and relaxing with family and friends. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Ambiance: The setting is absolutely top-notch, truly unparalleled in the entire Chaoshan region. Service: Beyond the excellent facilities, the service perfectly matches their high standard. Cleanliness: It's cleaner and more hygienic than the majority of hotels I've ever stayed in. Five-Element Herbal Bath: This is genuinely quite unique. After the soak, I felt incredibly refreshed and invigorated. Late-night Congee/Noodles: That bowl of noodles was absolutely soul-satisfying!

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic, truly impeccable in every aspect. Stepping into the resort, it felt like entering a serene, secluded paradise, instantly allowing us to forget the hustle and bustle of city life and completely relax both mind and body. The food was another highlight; it felt like we were constantly indulging! Hahahaha! The 'Five Elements' meal was a unique and delightful experience, with beautifully crafted and distinctive dishes. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of ingredients and many choices! Excellent! The staff's warm and attentive service made us feel truly at home. We will definitely bring our family back for another visit!
