Lake Serenity Boutique Hotel

Boutique, 17 bedroom hotel up a back road out of Kuruwita. The owner also has two tea factories and other business interests. The lakeside location is serene and offers many amenities. Staff are friendly, but food offering is limited - in particular when we visited and on one night we're the only guests. Pre- COVID this must have been a lovely hotel, but the pandemic and economy have taken their toll. Several areas are now being renovated, hopefully restoring it to its previous condition. Rooms are spacious and clean, with golf carts to move you around the site. Kuruwita is not very touristy, so good value and much less crowded than in the cultural triangle. Overall happy to come back in the fiture

Au premier abord, l’hôtel paraît sombre, froid et mérite un être rafraîchissement, car il est dans son jus antique, maison historique, au milieu des plantations de thé. le domaine s’étend à l’infini dans un écrin de verdure autour d’un petit lac. Le propriétaire nous a fait faire le tour du jardin organique bio ou tous les légumes sont cultivés et où il recueille les œufs. Le personnel et surtout le patron sont très gentil. Nous avons bénéficié d’un excellent repas. Cependant, un petit bémol, les chambres méritent une nette rénovation, mais le cadre est magnifique. Le mobilier de la piscine est à revoir car ancien est pas confortable.

excellent hotel rooms very confortable and staff very careful with you. diner and breakfast were very good close to the lake and the park was great to visit. Rooms were spacious an comfortable. This resort gives you a real feeling of serenity.

The lake with green-looking water, tremendous birds, and organic cultivation of tea and various vegetables are the unique feature of the Lake Serenity Resort. We loved this hotel. Room very comfortable and spacious. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was very tasty.If you are looking for some quality time to spend away from the hustle and bustle in the city,this is place you should be.This is a place for people who love to relax in an Eco friendly environment. Quiet and romantic place to stay, with a lake, tea field, organic farm, lots of birds and friendly staff. When I stayed there were two engagement photo shoots and a reception going on. The couples in Kandyan wedding dresses looked brilliant and celebrated. Cottage-style guest rooms ensure privacy. Only a few innocent visitors can get in peacefully if you leave the door open for a while. When I found a frog jumping on the floor it was a surprise but also a relief as frogs are known to be very sensitive to the environment. It convinced me that this is a truly eco-friendly resort.

A beautifully landscaped resort. The rooms are clean and you have everything you need. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Perfectly trained. We were really spoiled. The food is delicious and everything is freshly made. Very rich. We would come again.
