The Beacon Hotel ★★

"Fantastic location, perfect for a trip to the seaside with kids. We visited last summer and loved it so much we wanted to repeat it this summer too. The car park is very close by and then you’re so close to the beach the kids could walk over in their beach gear, less than 5 mins with small kids. The hotel itself is clean, well appointed and every staff member we encountered was super friendly. Highly recommend."

Park Hotel ★★★

"Clearly the hotel is being updated. The public areas are good. We were given a room in the annex which had been fully renovated (please put a blind up in the bathroom), however the internet and tv were not working. The receptionist was very apologetic and said they were aware of some issues since renovation. She offered to move us to a twin room in the main building but warned that although the bathroom had been updated the room hadn’t. We chose to move as we wished to unwind watching a bit of tv before sleep. We did need to borrow a fan for the night as we were in Redcar during the heatwave."

Red Barns Bed & Breakfast ★★★

"This is a former mansion that has been thoroughly rennovated. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed hearing about Gertrude Bell and her connection with the house. The Lobster Inn is only 5 min walk and was a good option for dinner."
