"We were family of four staying in this hotel. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, it makes you feel at home. They help arrange transportation to go around the town and both Tuk tuk driver and car driver are super nice. I have never seen all employees in a hotel are super friendly and put all effort to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast buffet is nice. The pool is super clean and the gym covers basic needs.
Our flight back is over check out time (almost midnight). They prepared a room for us to shower. If you ever go to siem reap, this hotel is definitely worth to be chosen."
"Beautiful environment, quiet in the middle of the city, just in the city, near the pub street, three minutes walk away. The environment in the hotel is not hygienic, the house decoration and furniture are solid wood, especially the river view family room suite where we live, with two balconies, is really great. What's more, the hotel's breakfast is very good, there is a menu for guests to choose and make it, and the taste is much better than eating outside. Recommend two little brothers named Bun heng & Ravy Restaurant, the service and smile are very good. We stayed for three days and then renewed for another five days. We will definitely stay again in the near future."
"Exquisite, comfortable and top quality luxury small hotel. The location is a bit far from the city center, but Siem Reap is very small, so it is actually 10-15 minutes to get to the city center by tutuk. I chose this place because I like to be quiet and come to the Angkor Marathon. The surrounding areas are all residential areas, which will look very run-down, but walking into the hotel gate is another world. The bedding was particularly satisfactory, the bed was large, clean and comfortable. Good luck, upgraded the big room by the pool and really enjoyed it. There are not many rooms in the hotel so the waiters take care of every guest. Breakfast is a la carte, it feels much better than buffet breakfast, taste and quality are very good, I feel like eating a big meal in the morning. The waiter's English is very good, and the attitude is enthusiastic and modest. During my stay in the hotel, I had dinner, laundry, swimming pool, and spa services. Impeccable. It is very suitable for rest, and guests who like quiet and more private space, but if you want to go out at night, you have to ask the hotel for help. The leaving manager and your dedicated waiter will take you to the door to say goodbye, very warm. Will have the opportunity to come here again and recommend to friends. But oh, the only minor regret is that we have been treated as Taiwanese or Hong Kong guests. We have corrected it twice. Unfortunately, our lovely waiter has not remembered it, but it will not affect the overall impression of the hotel ~ see you next time."

"The location is great. It is near the night market and pub street. A lot of good restaurants are just a few minutes walk away.
The service is great. The receptionists, restaurant crew, and cleaning/maintenance personnel are well-trained and welcoming. I love the hospitality offered by their lovely staff. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
They offer welcoming drinks and fruits as well as afternoon tea with fruit juices, fresh fruits, and other snacks.
The hotel is eco-friendly and very relaxing.
They offer tuk-tuk services and tours. This way, you are sure that you are in good hands.
They also offer free tree planting. They provided a tuk-tuk ride from The Urban to their other hotel The Nature. There, we were guided by Joseph, as we plant our Golden Shower plant, Angki. He was so nice and very accommodating.
Overall, we had a nice and amazing stay with The Urban.
*I love their Mango Sticky Rice ❤️

"Online listing of 4-star hotels, the transportation is convenient, the bathroom decoration is really too bad, the washbasin is the level of domestic guest house, showing breakfast, actually no. 2.5 Star bar"
"Amazing hotel, breakfast simple but very good, location is just perfect, walking distance from night markets, quality of amenities is lovely, interior design is just beautiful. Only thing I didn't like was bathtub not working, everything else was just perfect, especially attention from staff, they put too much effort to make you feel comfortable. Best hotel in town"
"The hotel opened for half a year after the epidemic. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and tidy, and the facilities are very good. The hotel is in a quiet area, but not far from the bar street, and you can walk quickly. The staff inside are very polite, welcoming and interesting, the food in the restaurant is delicious, the cocktails in the bar are delicious, and I returned to the hotel after a busy day to swim in the pool and drink. I really enjoyed it and I was very happy. Wall crack recommended, will come back next time."
"The staff were friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our room, best one yet on our trip! We also enjoyed the pool, it was great to cool off after a long and hot day site-seeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if we're ever in Siem Reap again we will want to stay here."
"Came with my husband from the Mingyue Hotel for only one night. The check-in time should be two in the afternoon, but the front desk lady was very nice and let us check in immediately. I was also given the choice of two rooms up and down, and finally chose the room upstairs. Although the school next door was a bit noisy, the room was large and the view was beautiful. The lemongrass incense in the room smelled good and there were no mosquitoes. Breakfast was very delicious the next day, check out and car to the airport, it is a car, not a tutu car!"

Amazing
GGuest UserSala Lodges in the enchanting city of Siem Reap is nothing short of a hidden gem that boasts not only of charming aesthetics but also of exceptional service that made our stay unforgettable. Nestled quietly away, this hotel provided a tranquil retreat that was much needed during our travel.
The service at Sala Lodges was commendable, embodying the true spirit of hospitality. The staff were attentive, approachable, and consistently willing to assist us in organizing our trips around Siem Reap, making the overall experience hassle-free and enjoyable. A special shoutout to the Swiss owners who were genuinely amiable and made us feel warmly welcomed.
As for the accommodations, the rooms in Sala Lodges were a delightful surprise. Each room bore discrete charm with its tasteful decoration, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary elements. The authentic Khmer old houses are full of charm, yet modern and well preserved.
The hotel’s kitchen offered a menu that might seem simple at a glance but was satisfyingly delightful upon tasting. Every dish we tried was prepared well, with fresh ingredients and flavors that are comforting yet exciting to the palate. The breakfast, in particular, deserves an extra note of praise for being consistently good, providing a delightful start to our days of exploration.
Adding to the hotel’s allure was the inviting swimming pool, serving as a refreshing sanctuary after a day of touring the magical temples and vibrant markets of Siem Reap. During the wet season, the atmosphere around Sala Lodges was even more calming and soothing, with the soft sound of rain providing a comforting backdrop to our stay.
To sum it up, our experience at Sala Lodges was nothing short of magical. From the excellent service to the beautifully appointed rooms and delightful meals, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was serene, comfortable, and absolutely enjoyable. Whether you’re traveling in the wet season or not, Sala Lodges offers a cosy retreat that will surely enhance your Siem Reap adventure. Highly recommended!
__Alex_Hotel itself is very beautiful. Negative topics is the distance to the Center of the city and also the noise in the apartment, produced by the pool bar.
GGuest UserThe best social hostel I've been into awhile. It's designed well, giving you the option to join partying crowd or the social but more laid back crowd. Staff were all great. Facilities were great. Only reason I didn't give facilities a top marks is the blankets to sleep with were more like towels. To compete with a place like Onederz I really recommend you get larger and softer sleeping blankets. Still worth the stay.
PpassportfullofrosiesposiesThis hotel, particularly the service, has made me in love with Siem Reap. Mr Phea, Ms. Thida and Ms. Annie truly deserve my recommendation for their great hospitality, genuine care, and friendliness. I was first greeted my Mr Phea at the airport for the pick-up by TukTuk. It was a complimentary by the hotel. He was welcoming and so was Ms Thida when I arrived at the hotel. Not only with her warm smiles, I was also welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing lemomgrass drink. We chatted like as if we had already known each other! As the room was already available on my arrival , I was granted early check-in to my room. Thank you, Ms Thida! I love my room. It was spacious and cosy. I wished the mini bar was complimentary but no biggie as there's a small grocery store just across the road where you can buy instant noodles, snacks, drinks and toiletries etc I spent the rest of my day out on a TukTuk for sightseeing and lunch. Mr Phea was my loyal TukTuk driver throughout my stay in Anjali. He was also like a tour guide and a friend to me. He brought me to an area where the Muslim community lives. There's a mosque and plenty of Halal food/restaurants. I truly appreciate Mr Phea doing this for me. Because of this, I had the opportunity to devour the delicious Cambodian dishes of Beef Lok Lak, Amok Fish, etc, without having to worry if it was pork-free and safe for me to eat. He brought me for a drive along the paddy fields and to watch the sunset. When I returned to the hotel, I was greeted by Ms Annie and Mr Panha. They were friendly too! Breakfast was alright to me. My first morning, I had my breakfast prepared and packed in a tiffin carrier as I left at 4am to go for the Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour. They packed hard boiled eggs, croissants, bananas, and little baguettes with jam. Only one morning I went to the restaurant for my breakfast and I chose Waffles with fresh fruits. There's a buffet of bakeries (bread, pastries, cakes), fresh fruit juices, cereals, and salad. I would totally recommend that the hotel look into an airtight container for the cereals as the ones I ate were all kinda soft and stale. The salad too should be covered because it was 'covered' with fruit flies and flies feasting on it. My two other breakfasts were spent in my room as requested. One of it was exceptionally good. I requested for scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and I got just that. It was creamy and fluffy! I requested for smoked salmon at the side but was given smoked salmon bagel with rocket leaves and
The morning on my check-out day was sort of disgusting. The scrambled eggs were dry and two of out the croissants were cold. The watermelon Juice was good though. It could have been perfect if a glass of ice was served alongside with it.
NNatalya*This was by far the best hotel and service experience I have ever had! Staff greets you and even sends you off with farewell. Breakfast buffet so amazing. And when I wasn’t feeling well they even made me special oatmeal I requested for free. The rooms are so nice and artistic, beds so comfy. The mango wrap was so nice and includes massage and snacks. I would love to come back! Check out the New Dream of Cambodia Children School which is the only free school by donation. And also check out the Phare Circus. Of course temples but Beng Mealea temple is a less touristy hidden gem!
HH MatthiasA beautiful hotel well deserving of its 5-star rating. Check in was quick and a cold towel and fruit tea were served. Beautiful pool (though it can get crowded), and extremely huge room with a great view of the property. The bathroom was gigantic - the tub could easily a few people in it. Note that in order to control the AC, you have to bring the remote close to the central control (near the door).
Breakfast had a wide selection of food with an egg station and was extremely delicious. I had dinner twice at the restaurant, and each time the food did not disappointment.
The pool bar has happy hour promotions from 6-7pm, although it closes by 8pm.
The best asset about this place would be their guest-facing staff. Always smiling, greeting, and remembering every single guest by name. Everyone spoke very good English and always showed interest in guests, anticipating their needs. They also packed breakfast for guests going on the Angkor Wat sunrise tour. Special shoutout to Andy and Jenny for taking care of me so well.
My only critique would be that housekeeping could have been a bit more meticulous.
LLudovicusThe service at this hotel was, all in all, excellent. The staff (with the minor exception of the young, night shift receptionists) was super helpful and kind. And the complimentary breakfast was also excellent. These were huge plusses. But small (some really tiny) cockroaches were lurking in the bathroom on all nights of my stay, which i did not mind as much as the sunrise watching ***** who slammed the door at exiting at 5am... Perhaps better soundproofing possible?
GGuest User4-Star Luxury Hotel for the Backpacker Price of $40/night!
The first thing you notice about Sokha Palace Siem Reap Hotel is just how pretty it is! The architect, painters, decorators and maintenance staff did a fabulous job (see my photos). The second thing you notice is how delicious the huge buffet is – including free espresso drinks. Third, you notice that the rooms are not only nice but that everything works well (aircon, hot water showers, refrigerator, wifi, and cable TV with news channels from a half dozen countries like CNN). Fourth, it is in a quiet location less than 15 minutes from Angkor Wat, and only a $2 tuktuk ride to Pub Street or anywhere else in Siem Reap.
But then you notice the best part: the outstanding hotel staff. For example, the Front Desk Manager Phyrun personally helped me when I could not make my room keycard work, and even brought me a bucket of ice. Originally I booked five nights during Chinese New Year with Trip.com discounts for $39/night, but he gave me a free upgrade from a garden view double with king bed to a pool view room. I liked it so much I wanted to extend, but the best I could find online was $41/night garden view, $51 for pool view. I asked Phyrun if I could get the upgrade again if I bought the $41 online, and he said no – but he smiled and said he would give it to me for $40/night the Khmer rate instead (normally $50 for barangs like me)!
The restaurant had other examples of great staff. Some days the restaurant is overflowing with several hundred guests, other days only a few dozen. Yet they maintain the quality and personal touch from the egg and soup station, to the bountiful buffet, to the waiters and waitresses that clear the tables. The Restaurant Manager Somedy and his Assistant Manager Chhaiya keep it all flowing smoothly. Even on the busiest day, waitress Chanthla took the time to show my Khmer friend’s elderly stepmom the way they fold the napkins. Today the espresso machine was not working for a while, so Chhaiya offered to have a waiter drive over to the sister hotel to bring me lattes. I repeatedly declined, but was very impressed by the excellent customer service attitude.
So the real beauty of this French chateau style hotel is its employees, including very efficient housekeeping and grounds staff. I checked out the “5-Star” Sokha Resort on the other side of its convention center, but did not like it half as much (especially for 70% more per night). Normally I would be afraid to write a review of a hotel that I like so much, but with 456 rooms I don’t have to worry about it being full. Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Siem Reap.
HHumphrey JrThe hotel was pretty nice for the affordable price. The service was good, both receptionists were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. The location was pretty convenient to visit the city center and night markets. There are a lot of bars and restaurants along the street, we really enjoyed that. Our room was on the first floor so it was a bit noisy in the mornings because other guests came to have breakfast at the lobby which was also on the same floor and a few meters from our room. Despite that, everything was very good.
RRyan Cooper 王睿安The location might be slightly TOO good! It’s directly across the Pub Street so it can be loud until late. However besides that it’s a pretty nice hotel. I noticed some things could use some renovation but overall not a bad place. This photo is of the stage that was setup outside (during the new year).
Whether you're planning a business trip or a vacation, Siem Reap has many top-rated hotels to choose from. VPlus Hotel, Angkor Land Urban Boutique and Lub d Siem Reap are among the best choices for your stay.
