Four Season Get Away. Located right on the Michigamme River, this riverside retreat provides you and your family and opportunity to get away from it all and back to nature. One block from Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Outdoor grill and fire pit available.
Close to restaurant, bar, church, and small store. 4 Kayaks available for use, gas grill and fire pit. Deck overlooking the river, dock next door, electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer. Relax and get away from it all! Two queen beds, one bunk with double on bottom and twin on top. 35 miles from Marquette, great base to explore the UP. About pets:Pets allowed: dogs (limit 2 total).About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

It was a great stay for our family of 5. There was plenty of room inside. However, the main reason for our stay was outside - we really enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, swimming at the nearby beach, and wildlife. The river is calm and wide - feels a lot more like being on a lake than what you might think obeying on a river. Highly recommend.

Cozy with a view
Beautiful view! We loved watching the sunset on the river while wildlife swam past. They provided kayaks, firewood, and tons of outdoor seating! It was a perfect! The house had everything we needed for a relaxing get away!

Disappointing
The pictures and description online were very different from what the place actually was. Even though the place was disappointing we had a great time spending time together as a family.

UP getaway
Very clean, nicely updated home. Very small yard and close neighboors. Great kitchen!

Quaint, cozy home w/ a gorgeous view!
Very friendly owners stay right next door. Even though it rained for most of our stay, the view from the deck was absolutely worth it. The house was cozy and provided a lot of amenities. (like laundry detergent, seasonings, etc)
We were about 30-40 minutes from Marquette, which is a big town that has all the stores you could need, (like bigger grocery stores) plus a very cute smaller part you can walk around with shops and breweries.
We recommend Black Rocks Brewery if you like beer. They have an outside area with fire pits and games. And The Honest Distillery if you like bourbon/whiskey.

Wonderful Cabin on Michigamme River
Comfortable, well appointed cabin - Charlie & Shelly thought of everything guests might want or need. Secluded location, quiet and rustic. Beautiful views of the river, kayaks for our use, swimming, grilling on the deck, enjoying the fire pit (to keep away the mosquitos in summer!). If you want to get away and totally unwind, this is the place!

On the river.
Loved the property and view of the river. Had a great time kayaking, floating and hanging out on the deck. Short walk to store and restaurant was great. Also went to Black River falls which was beautiful. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and bonfires.
