Travelodge Retford Markham Moor

Another amazing stay with Travelodge this time at Markham Moor. Staff were lovely quiet location always clean and comfortable. Ideal location for me only 5 mins drive to get to theatre.

Perfect for a stopover in that area and very reasonably priced. Special mention to the welcoming and helpful staff, I’ve never experienced such genuine warmth at reception anywhere when I’ve travelled.

Sarah was extremely helpful and provided us with extra bedding and amenities when my friend unexpectedly had to stay with me due to a car breakdown. She was super friendly and nothing was too much trouble

Had a lovely night the staff were friendly and anything I asked their were more than pleased to do, we’ll definitely stay again.

Nice little lodge on the A1, bit of a bugger to find though if you’re not careful! Room was good, comfortable and pleasant Tea coffee available Room was clean, decent shower I bought the extra WiFi package which I don’t like doing as it should be included in the price, but I get why they do it. WiFi was really good, quick and speedy. It was a hot night, fan was provided thankfully But if truck noise early morning but I just closed the windows, not ideal as it quite hot, but the fan helped! Only 1 electric plug socket, what’s that all about, thankfully I am a seasoned traveler and have a long extension cable! Overall very good, basic yes but did a good job as I just needed a nighttime stay over. The KFC wasn’t that great, good service though. There is a shop in the garage next the lodge, mac Donald’s over the road if you need which is 24 hours. Staff at the lodge were friendly and helpful, lodge cost me £50 for the night, plus WiFi charge, no breakfast provided in that but they do offer a cake and stuff for a small cost if you need it. Stay again, yes I would.
