This hostel is situated in the center of the picturesque Venetian old town of Rethymno, offering a small oasis of fun and relaxation to travelers from all over the world! It's set within peaceful surrounding streets yet close to the town's long sandy beach and exciting night-life.
Entering from the street you will find a typical Venetian building with thick stone walls and wooden floors upstairs.Downstairs there is a beautiful patio surrounded by the green of our gardens for relaxation.
If you use Rethymno hostel you'll have easy access to both the bus station for travel within the island, and the ferry port for boats to and from Piraeus.
Centrally positioned on the island of Crete, travelers can use the hostel as a base for day trips to the most attractive sites of the island like the Samaria Gorge, Lake Kournas, Preveli beach, Knossos, Festos, Falasarna, Ballos Beach, Elafonisi e.t.c. or the various historical and archaeological sites around.
In the evening most travelers gather for a drink ( or two ) on the hostel's patio to chill out, before starting the usual restaurant and bar hopping!!!
There is a 24 hour CCTV system in the entrance and common room areas of the hostel!
WiFi Internet is available for our guests !
The warm and friendly atmosphere will make your stay at Rethymno Youth Hostel a memorable one.

Stayed in Rethymno in this hostel for two nights, and would've stayed longer if I had the time! For only €10/night I had a simple bunk bed in a female dorm, but it was the friendly people staying and most amazing hospitable staff that makes your stay that extra bit special! I've stayed in plenty of hostels but this one tops the customer service!! Cheers Alex's and George!! :D

The best hostel I've ever been! It is perfectly situated, with a perfect ambiance. Very easy to meet people from all over the world and make many friends if you travel alone, Great Hospitality... 100% recomended

Выбрала этот хостел и ни разу не пожалела о своем выборе. Очень часто я путешествую одна и конечно же хочется завести новые знакомства. Если вы окажетесь в Ретимно-то вам именно сюда. Персонал просто офигительный, приветливый и веселый. Люди разных национальностей, беседы до трех часов ночи, походы огромной толпой на пляж-это все вы там можете получить. Однозначно выбирайте этот хостел. Что касается практической информации-хостел находится в центре города, сам он чистый, комнаты хорошие, и завтраки очень вкусные))

we book for 2 night but we changed our mind spending just one night at the end. We didn´t get our money back but the guy told us we could come back here during our trip around Crete and don´t pay for that night. We didn´t come but at least we had that chance. Cheap place to stay if you go to Rethymo for one day. Close to the center many restaurants. If you go to Rethymo you can`t miss Kyria Maria and have rabbit. One of the best things we had during two weeks in Crete. 100% recommend. just go and try is even cheap. nice terrace just in the street.

Rethymno youth hostel is so far the best hostel I have ever stayed in.Good location and near the beach! Nice,clean rooms and toilets.The hostel is newly renovated with new kitchen with BBQ in the garden which will be a great spot for people during the summer. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, if you need suggestions on where to go or what to do whether its about best beaches on Crete,the best bars or cheap taverns in the city ive always been recommended good places.All in all i cant find anything to complain about. Very happy with my stay!!

ευχαριστώ πολύ Au debut je suis venue passer que deux jours, ca fait biento un mois que je suis la, je n'attender pas faire d'aussi belle rencomtre, auten le staff que les gens de passage sont merveilleux, une ambience apaisente repose en ces mur, je vais avoir du mal a repartir, meme si je part pour un autre pays j'ais le semtiment de fin des vacance. plus que quelque jours pour remercier comme ils ce doit tout ces gens formidable. αγαπώ Κρήτη

Hostel jak hostel, pokoje kilkuosobowe, pokoje na zewnątrz i sale, duży plus za świetną kuchnie i taras na którym wszyscy się spotykają przy posiłkach. Świetna astmosfera bardzo urzekająca obługa (pozdrawiam ALEX) :) Napewno hostel w fajnym miejscu z dobrymy warunkami dla osób które nie potrzebują zbyt wiele luksusów i chcą taniej podróżować. Bardzo przyjemny czysty i przyjazny hostel, można poznac tak wiele fajnych osob z calego siwata :)

oh my...i was just reading my diary and really got a nice feeling since i refreshed my memory as to what Rethymno Youth Hostel meant to me. First of all i must say that Crete is so beautiful...amazing sceneries, food, surfing, live music, prices, people...it is Credise (Crete + Paradise) This was my first time travelling by my self and i was not feeling 100% cool as in everything we do for the first time! The place even though it is in the center...it is so quiet & lovely! As soon as i arrived i felt closer to being 100% cool. I met amazing people...French (Artouros french guy playing baglamas...omg), Canadians, Icelanders. The place has 2 big balconies which are really nice since you meet people, even if you are the most closed person in the world. It feels as a home. Sasha and Manolis the boss are polite, nice & friendly human beings from day one to day five. "Sasha=Alexander welcomed me...a positive vibe emerged within me..." The bathrooms, beds where very good for what you pay...the omelette for 2 euros made by Sasha would make my day! Surely i will visit again soon...October when Crete is even nicer under the cloudy sky!:)

Située dans une petite rue au calme et pourtant en plein coeur du centre historique de Réthymnon (Rethymno pour les crétois), cette auberge a tout pour plaire: un personnel avenant et sympathique, des locaux bien conçus et une bonne literie! Les douches se situent à l'extérieur du bâtiment dans une cour et un espace est prévu pour la lessive à la main (éviers + corde à linge). Attention, pensez à apporter vos serviettes de toilette (petit rappel pour les personnes qui ne sont pas habituées aux auberges). Le seul hic serait l'absence de lampe de chevet dans les chambres et un nombre insuffisant de prises secteurs.
