Excelente localização, quarto limpo e confortável, somente pequeno para quem leva muita bagagem. Staff atencioso. Café da manhã gostoso e variado.

The hotel is very cosy and the staff are very attentive to our needs. The breakfast spread is plentiful and delicious too. We have stayed there for honeymoon and they gave us complimentary access to hot spring and spa which is wonderful. The hotel is also central located. Greatly recommended

Amazing, friendly staff! Rooms were immaculate, clean, and comfortable. Located in the city center and close to everything-and I mean everything! They have a relaxing geothermal tub, a great breakfast spread, and are surrounded by restaurants galore. Highly recommend, and the I want to reiterate how lovely the front desk staff was.

We stayed in one of their apartments in Reykjavík for three days from August 3- August 6 2025. The apart was perfect, clean and had everything we needed for our visit. The only thing was the washer dryer setup was not user friendly and would not dry cloths. Had a fully furnished kitchen with plates utensils etc. and even had coffee, tea and condiments. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful with anything we had questions about. In fact one of the front desk employees even walked us to our restaurant we were going for dinner. Extremely pleased with our experience and would definitely stay there on our next visit.

This is a very nice hotel in a wonderful location. The people at reception were excellent. They were very accustomed to having people come from cruise ships and leaving their luggage until such time as the rooms were available for occupancy. The main floor was nicely set up with different sitting areas. We had the junior suite. This was very nice with a few quirks that would make it difficult for certain people. The light fixture in the sitting area was low enough that my husband kept hitting his head on it. The walking area in the sitting room was somewhat limited as there was a large L-shaped sofa, along with a desk and rolling chair and two hassocks, one very low and one at sitting height, both covered with hard plastic. The sitting area was very comfortable. We are not TV watchers, but it didn't look like the TV could be viewed in the sitting area, both because of its placement on the wall in the bedroom and because of the string divider. On arrival, there were some lovely cookies and a goodnight chocolate. The sitting area was separated from the bedroom area with a string divider that went the entire width of the room (no separation for moving between the rooms). This drove my husband crazy as he kept getting tangled in it. He moved it to the side, but each day the cleaners moved it back to close off the area. When people are staying multiple days and rearrange things, like the string divider, it would be nice if it would remain that way for the rest of their stay. That did not happen here, so my husband had to move the divider aside each day after the cleaners had gone. The bathroom isn't designed for short people. The only place to put your toiletry bags or makeup kits is on a shelf in front of the mirror. The shelf was almost at chin height for me which meant that I had to remove the bags and kits to look inside of them or to see myself in the mirror. The only other place to put the bags and kits was on the floor, in the sink or on the lid of the toilet. It was also difficult to get into the very deep tub/shower. There were no grab bars. Half of the length of the tub was enclosed with a glass wall. 2/3 of the remaining open space had a large basket with the towels in front of it so that the basket has to be moved to use the shower/tub. Both my long legged husband and my short legged self had difficulty getting into the shower/tub. The bed was very comfortable. It was two low twin beds pushed together with two loose comforters and two pillows per bed. The breakfast was excellent - a combination of an American breakfast of bacon and eggs and a European breakfast of cheese, meat, yoghurt, muesli, with various breads and fruits. You had your choice of coffee or tea or powdered hot chocolate. Decaf coffee was instant served with hot water.

Beware! This hotel will bump you to another hotel without any notice ahead of time. It’s a terrible experience but I had no choice but to accept the change. I travelled with a group of friends and all of us booked our rooms for 2 nights, 6 months ago. All bookings confirmed and they even send a welcome email reminder 2 days ahead. Regretfully, on the first day when I checked in the receptionist told me that they have no room for me in that hotel and ‘upgraded’ me to another hotel. They will provide the taxi to go to the other hotel. I told them I need to stay with my friends in this hotel because the tour bus will pick us up there. They just said bluntly that there’s nothing they can do. To make long story short, they finally agreed to give me a room for the second night. So i ended up checking in to the other hotel around 9 pm for the first night, get up 6 am the next morning, packed my bags, and hustled back to Thingholt to catch my tour bus, and checked in for the second night. Also, it’s not a ‘upgrade’, the other hotel room is old and stinky. It’s a chaotic and stressful experience. There’s definitely a management problem for overbooking and that is no way to treat a guest so unprofessionally with no respect.
