"Room 102 faced south rather than seaward however it was comfortable with a huge balcony with table, two chairs and two deck chairs. Sadly in the rain we could not use these! Built in the garden is a modern restaurant with a Michelin star. Whilst we could not afford to dine there, the waiter-served breakfast was very good. Two minor complaints: The only electric plugs in the bedroom were for the bedside table lamps and no plugs by the desk (luckily we do carry a selection of adaptors); also no shelving in the bathroom for toiletries."

"يقع الفندق في وسط المدينة. الغرف قذرة ، مع المنسوجات في كل مكان. الغرف دون المرايا للنساء. الحمامات المشتركة معزولة جداً من الغرفة. انت صامت ، الماء خارج الماس. الموظفين مفيدة ، وهو فندق الذكية. الإفطار أمر طبيعي. قائمة الطعام تضع ما تريد بدون ان تطلب ، قوارير المياه تدفئك ، الطعام سيء للغاية. الخدمة سيئة. الحمامات من البار رائحة القذارة و كأنها رائحة سيئة و بقعة منذ ايام و بدون ورق من المرحاض. يأخذ كثيرا للقاءك. لا اكرر و لا نموت مبلغ رمى في ذلك الوغد."

"The building is an annex across the street from a mansion with access to the beach. Very modern, with top-notch facilities, a very large room with large windows (with a partial sea view), and its own garage. The downside: it's located in the more luxurious residential area, but further from the "historic center" of Ribadesella. Therefore, you'll need a car to get out (cross a bridge over the river), or walk a few meters to reach a restaurant (there are a few nearby, but they're not very busy outside of summer). The hotel itself was excellent."

"Situated on the promenade by the main beaches, Villa Rosario is an outrageously grand looking building in the Mexican style and has me thinking of the Adams Family every time I look at it. I was enchanted by it when we were here last year and it is as lovely as I had hoped. Check in was charming and parking at the sister hotel across the road is very good. I have an Audi Q5 and the entry to the underground parking is spacious as are the car bays. Our room on the first floor is roomy and comfortable and has the added benefit of a large balcony overlooking the garden and with views of the mountains. The en-suite is also roomy and very smart, and has good quality toiletries, big fluffy towels and a splendid shower. Breakfast is served in the adjoining restaurant which has a Michelin star. As previous reviews suggested that the service was over complicated, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but in reality the service was friendly and efficient and the system of ordering etc is perfectly simple. On arrival we had a basket of fresh breads, cakes etc already on the table along with fresh fruit. There is also a jar of fresh tomato paste for your “Tostada con Tomate”, and toast was brought to us along with our choice of hot beverage. From the simple menu we selected some nicely seasoned cherry tomatoes, bacon and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. In short, the service and organisation were perfect and our food was delicious. We both enjoy visiting the north of Spain, and Ribadasella is one of our favourite towns. We hope to return on a regular basis and, having discovered this fabulous hotel, Villa Rosario will certainly be our hotel of choice."

"Too expensive for what they offer. We booked this hotel because it has a pool (a lot of pictures of their pool are shown on their website). But when you arrive, they tell you, that you have to pay extra for a swim in that pool! So above the room rate of 280€/night we had to pay €40 for 2 for a swim!! The rooms are clean, but small and we both bounced our heads against the ceiling. We won’t go back to this hotel."

"Everything here deserves 5 stars, and I rarely say that. I'd give more if I could! We were served a spectacular and generous grilled octopus, resting on a bed of delicious mashed potatoes – just enough to complement, not overshadow, the star of the dish. Accompanied by cherry tomatoes that were a burst of flavor, and presented beautifully, truly matching the quality of the plate. The soupy rice with scarlet prawns and clams was incredible. The clams were exquisite and the scarlet prawn was cooked to perfection! The rice was very flavorful, generous, freshly made, and also perfectly cooked. We devoured everything as if we hadn't eaten in ages. It was tough to make room for dessert, but I had a feeling it would be just as spectacular... A sublime cheesecake, I'm speechless! The atmosphere was very pleasant. A glass-enclosed dining area offered sea and mountain views, with a wonderful breeze coming through while the doors were open. Cuban music, Serrat... playing at just the right volume to be enjoyable without hindering conversation. The service was also excellent; both Orlando and the friendly waitress attended to us wonderfully, and both were very pleasant. I highly recommend it, even though I almost don't want it to get too crowded, because a place like this deserves to be shared. Whenever I'm in the area, I know for sure that my plans will revolve around coming back to eat here."
