Grantley Hall

We visited over three days for an anniversary and birthday celebration. It was a glorious experience from the stupendous uplifting welcome at the gate by the irreplaceable Isaac, to the farewell at the car as we left. An immaculately cared for property and grounds, with exceptional suites, spa, food and drink. All reviews on here truly detail how wonderful everything is, so I will offer some different considered, constructive criticism if I may? 1. Why on Earth ruin the beautiful external and internal views of the front grounds with a massive great supercar car park on the forecourt? The valet parking is stellar and other hidden car parks are the size of Texas but when you are in the bars or even Shaun Rankin, or the front terrace, all you see is a full car park, flaunting guests tastes in vehicles, not the beautiful landscape views. Does anybody ever book an hotel room anywhere that says, fabulous views of the car park! Have a lovely cherished window seat, with great car views. The rear of the property has the serenity and class that the hotel deserves. The front public rooms far from it. Get rid of the polluting car show! (Our humble little car was soon dispensed with and hidden, so it’s possible!). Even if the Disney-esque fountain doesn’t fit in the landscape. Ugh! 2. After booking, I received two seperate emails and two seperate phone calls over the course of a week, all asking me the same questions, I had already been clear about at the time of booking. Crossed lines of communication somewhere I think. I dreaded picking the phone up, or opening mail, in case it was the hotel again! 3. The staff are a credit and ever smiling and helpful but over three days, it really starts to grate when every single one we encountered (and the ratio to guests is high and you see many of them), asks me how my day(s), evening, morning, life, experience is going and how fantastic my response or request is. Moderation training please. Their professionalism verges on saccarinity! But hey guys, these are only personal and mainly tiny niggles and we had a truly wonderful memorable experience. Thank you for the wonderful suite upgrade and doing Yorkshire proud! We will be back (if you will let us!).

Fantastic private function in the Orchard. While our friends being served I tried to order my wife and I a drink to be told the bar shut 1 minute ago. Thinking this was a joke I repeated my request. Only to be told this again. I helped take our friends drinks to our table and ordered transport back to our welcoming staff at the Rippon inn. The staff at Grantley hall were fantastic but the manager needs to be trained more in customer service.

We arrived at Grantley Hall for our 40 th wedding anniversary on Sunday 24 th for 2 nights We have stayed in a lot of nice hotels over the years but this has been by far the best experience From the start the staff the luxury of the hotel the food shone out from any other place we have stayed Thank you Grantley Hall we will be back ❤️

Stayed here for a birthday treat courtesy of my husband. This place is really fabulous. The room, the hotel, spa, grounds and food were all top quality. The bed was sumptuous. The hotel’s best asset though was its staff and the level of service provided, the best we have ever experienced. Special thanks to Isaac at the gate who was a ray of sunshine and sang Happy Birthday to me as we arrived!

A beautiful hotel with superb friendly, efficient and helpful staff. I attended a family wedding in the delightful gardens at Grantley Hall. The organisation was faultless including help with two wheelchair grannies. The food was delicious and the service impeccable All in all a very memorable day. A visit is highly recommended

We visited last week on one of the offer packages bought as a present for my wife - we were delighted on entry to the property by Isaac, warmly welcomed on arrival by the staff, soothed in the spa, relaxed in the most plush bedroom I have ever stayed in and then blown away by the Shaun Rankin restaurant - a very comfortable nights sleep - super breakfast and a good wander around the beautiful grounds in the morning. I’ve recommended it to everyone! I’m not sure I’m ever going to top this.
